Reachout With Arts In Mind, established in 1993, is an award winning expressive arts charity that provides creative opportunities to improve confidence, self-esteem, motivation and aspirations for adults experiencing life's challenges including mild mental ill health and mild learning and physical disability from across Forth Valley.
The Visual Arts Project Worker is a key artistic role based in Reachout’s large well-equipped studio. Central to the role is facilitating creative workshops to vulnerable young people and adults; encouraging their creativity and self-help to maintain and develop their wellbeing. This will involve hands-on delivery, planning, coordinating, and facilitating creative workshops within Reachout studio, online through platforms such as Zoom and outreach projects across Forth Valley. This post requires excellent organisational skills in particular project management and administrative duties including monitoring and evaluating output from creative activities, costing and managing workshop budgets.

Reachout with Arts in Mind provides services for our members and the service users of Forth Valley partner organisations. The position will involve interaction with Reachout members and the local community on a regular basis. As a small staff team the list of duties is not exhaustive and a range of additional tasks may be undertaken as and when appropriate, and as funding terms and conditions dictates and projects develop.
The successful candidate will demonstrate creativity, leadership, self-motivation and both written and verbal communication skills.
The post holder will report to the Executive Artistic Director and will work effectively as part of a small staff team.

We will use a scoring-based system to shortlist and select for interview measured against the Essential and Desirable skills.
All candidates selected for interview will be asked to prepare a 15-minute presentation based on their experience and research on Reachout with Arts in Mind. The interview will then follow a series of questions asked by a panel and then a discussion answering any questions you may have. Interviews will take place in Reachout Studio week commencing 1st or 8th April subject to government guidelines and Covid-19 restrictions.
