Role

Overview

Restoration has been established for eleven years as a dynamic and growing Fife wide Lived Experience Recovery Organisation (LERO). The community we have provides safe spaces and fun activities for people in recovery from substance use. We provide low-threshold access and a diverse range of support for people and their families.

Instead of service users, we call those who attend our groups ‘members’, which better reflects the culture that we aim to foster: being part of a community (or as our members refer to us, their Resto Family).

You will be encouraged to bring your own ideas and put your own touch into Restoration activities.

‘I just want to thank you all for being there and helping me start, and for the support, in my recovery journey. I wouldn't be here today without Restoration Fife, that's my truth.’ - Restoration Member

‘I get to bear witness to astonishing changes and achievements of people, both the workers and the members. A place I see growth and progression for myself.’ - Restoration Sessional Worker

‘We do what we do because it brings joy, comfort and empowerment to our not so wee community❤️ - where fun is prescribed’ - Restoration Board Member

Responsibilities

With this role you will mainly work remotely, leading a small team of sessional staff in various locations throughout Fife, and will include some out of hours working.

Most of the time you will be working with and supporting people from a range of backgrounds with their drug and/or alcohol recovery - making a difference to their lives.

You will be responsible for recording information and reporting, therefore attention to detail is important.

Restoration is an ever-evolving recovery community where no two days are the same, so being flexible and open-minded is crucial.

The core values we look for in our colleagues are to be compassionate, non-judgemental, honest and have a great sense of fun – if this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!
