Role

If you’re knowledgeable about energy efficiency retrofit and have experience of supply chain engagement, Changeworks has the career-defining opportunity you’ve been dreaming of.

We’re recruiting for a Supplier Engagement Manager to play a leading role in helping us tackle the climate change emergency. As Scotland’s leading environmental charity delivering high-impact solutions for low carbon living, we’re looking for someone with a commercial brain and a social heart.

You’ll be joining Changeworks at a very exciting time as we’ve recently launched a new strategy to help us scale our work and achieve our mission of decarbonising Scottish homes. This brand-new Supplier Engagement Manager role will be at the forefront of these ambitious plans, and critical to the success of our existing project management delivery and our new retrofit agency services.

Changeworks currently delivers £30 million in energy efficiency measures for clients looking to retrofit, but we’re looking to grow and expand this. You’ll be responsible for building, engaging and managing our contractor and supplier network. In your role, you’ll be creating leads with suppliers and be the first point of contact with any prospective supplier or contractors. You’ll be evaluating, monitoring, and screening suppliers to ensure they meet our delivery requirements.

You’ll also engage with partner organisations to assist with influencing developments within the energy efficiency and retrofit supplier markets. Whether it’s promoting business opportunities at professional events or your regular meetings with key partners, your skills as a communicator will be key to making sure your contractor engagement plan is a success.

At a time when climate change is the most significant threat to the environment and our way of life, this is an important role that delivers real job satisfaction.

Joining Changeworks means you become part of an exciting and innovative organisation that really cares about its employees. Our staff overwhelmingly say that they would recommend us as an employer – and it’s no surprise that we were nominated for the Employer of the Year by the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce in 2022.

As one of the few Investors in People Platinum status holders in Scotland, we offer an excellent range of staff benefits including flexible working, hybrid working, a bike to work scheme, an excellent pension scheme and 26 days paid holiday plus nine public holidays per year. You’ll get a day off for your birthday too!

If you have what it takes to become our Supplier Engagement Manager and make a real difference to the lives of people in Scotland, apply today. Together, we can create a world where everyone is able to live, work and enjoy life with a low carbon impact.

At Changeworks, we welcome and encourage applications from everyone.
