As the General Manager (GM) of The Ecology Centre, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference and impact at an operational level for the benefit of the community and the environment. You will take a strategic lead in developing and sustaining the organisation's community-facing services, activities, volunteering, fundraising, and external partnerships, working closely with the Board of Trustees, our staff and our membership base. Building on our current strengths, you will lead our competent teams and our growing number of volunteers to deliver a wide range of grant-funded projects and income-generating activities, including, but not limited to, trading from The Nest Café and the employability pipeline in Fife.

The Funding and Grants Officer will be responsible for the compilation and submission of funding bids in line with the organisational funding plan. This role will undertake the required monitoring and reporting on all applications and bids. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Services, this role will assist them in identifying external funding opportunities which support Upmo’s strategic plan. It will also assist the senior management team in planning, coordinating and submitting funding applications to a range of Trusts, Foundations and private sector sponsors.

Newmilns Snow and Sports Complex is a dynamic and evolving organisation dedicated to changing people’s lives. As the only UK Charity Ski Slope, we are proudly different.

Using the power of the great outdoors and a ‘sport for change’ model we develop confidence, motivation, and employment skills through snow sports. We work with children and adults, schools and youth groups delivering employability, personal development, volunteering, and training opportunities at our rural, East Ayrshire site.
