Recovery Scotland is a charity dedicated to providing a range of recovery focussed services for people affected by addictions. We provide opportunities to help people change their addictive behaviours, engage with recovery communities and fulfil their aspirations.
We are looking to appoint a Recovery Worker to provide a range of recovery focussed activities within the Clackmannanshire Council – Justice Services and to develop an effective Recovery Peer Mentoring support for individuals who affected by problematic substance use and addictive behaviours.
You will be passionate and enthusiastic about recovery. If in recovery, we are looking for you to have had a minimum of one year stability from problematic substance use or addictive behaviours. You will have a good understanding of the impact that substance use can have on individuals, families and communities and you will be familiar with what works to promote and sustain recovery. An ability to work flexibly and creatively in motivating, supporting and encouraging people in recovery is essential.
