  • £23,881 – £25,518
  • Falkirk Campus but will be required to work at our Alloa and Stirling campuses
  • Closing 8th December 2022

An opportunity has arisen for a fixed-term full-time role in a new post of Student Engagement Co-ordinator.

This post is in support of the Forth Valley Student Association, and is funded to end June 2023.

You will be responsible for co-ordinating the delivery of student engagement work in all its different forms to support the Students’ Association in achieving strategic and operational targets. You will work with students and staff to gather information and produce reports which will be shared with internal and external stakeholders. You will co-ordinate and deliver student engagement activities, and support student volunteers of the Students’ Association, across all Forth Valley College campuses.

You will be responsible for recruiting and supporting student volunteers and Class representatives, including implementing a monitoring system to ensure quality and quantity of volunteers within the Student Association and the College.

You will work across our Falkirk, Stirling and Alloa campuses, interacting with a wide range of students on a day-to-day basis, positively and proactively representing the Students’ Association.

While the post resides in the wider structure of the College’s Learning & Quality team, the post will operate directly within the Forth Valley Students’ Association. As the post is of limited duration, priority areas will be agreed with you at an early stage, and key targets will be specified.

With an HNC in an appropriate area (or considerable relevant experience), you will have excellent communication and organisational skills and will be willing to learn, able to assimilate new information quickly, and be skilled at forming positive and professional working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You will be able to work and engage with students in a front-facing role, delivering student engagement activities, and supporting at events such as Fresher’s Fairs.

This would be a great opportunity for someone interested in experiencing a varied and cross-college role, motivated to deliver measurable results in a short timescale.

Please note that the College may consider this post as a secondment opportunity from your current employer.
