About SAMH
SAMH is Scotland’s national mental health charity. We have represented the voice of people most affected by mental health problems in Scotland for almost 100 years. Today we work with adults and young people, providing mental health social care support, services in primary care, schools and further education, among others, in over 60 communities. SAMH manages an annual budget of £20M with 550 staff.
We use this experience to influence our effective policy, campaigning and fundraising activities which deliver social change alongside national programmes See Me, respect me, suicide prevention and active living. SAMH is dedicated to mental health and wellbeing for all with a vision of a society where people are able to live their lives fully, regardless of present or past circumstances.
It is an exciting time to apply to join us. We will be celebrating our centenary next year and are in the early stages of implementing our bold and ambitious “We Won’t Wait” strategy. We are committed to ensuring our services are relevant to everyone in Scotland and wish to strengthen the diversity of voices around our board table to enhance the nature and quality of our decision making and ensure our services are relevant to all.
About the role
