The Institute of Counselling is seeking to recruit a proactive, experienced, self-motivated CEO to lead this forward-thinking organisation through an important change due to retirement of our current CEO. We seek to continue to deliver and build on our core business of training programmes to further expand our profile in the coming years. The advertised role requires the successful candidate to lead and manage the organisation during this exciting phase in our ongoing development.
If you have a proven track record in organisational leadership, University and SCQF accreditation, sound knowledge of quality assurance processes, experience of pastoral care, business insight and the opportunities and benefits online training provides, then we would really like to hear from you.
The Charity:
The Institute of Counselling was founded in 1985 as a Christian based, not for profit independent educational charity and remains committed to our aims and objectives of development and provision of clinical and pastoral care and associated courses staying in line with an ever-changing environment
Since 1985 over 30,000 students from the UK and overseas have enrolled with quality assurance and confidence in a wide range of courses. In its early years the Institute offered only courses in Clinical and Pastoral Counselling, within a pastoral context.
In recent years the Institute has also produced a selection of Online Courses which follow the clinical person-centred approach. Further, courses on CBT, Coaching, Mentoring and Stress Management have also proved popular in continued professional development
