We protect and promote the human rights of people with mental illness, learning disabilities, dementia and related conditions.

An opportunity has arisen for a Researcher to join our professional, multi-disciplinary team based in central Edinburgh.

The post-holder will provide research and statistical analysis expertise to the Commission and provide essential input into the data collection methods and analysis for our visits and monitoring reports. This includes questionnaire and survey design, assistance with analysis of data and report writing.

Applicants will have a relevant degree, extensive skills in quantitative and qualitative data analysis methods, techniques and software as well as statistical analysis and the ability to write accessible and impactful reports. As the only Researcher in the organisation, they must have the ability to influence and challenge senior managers and colleagues on the appropriate use of data.
