Would you like to be part of supporting the delivery of a vital helpline service for people with experience of domestic abuse and forced marriage? As a Call Handler you will provide confidential information and support to individuals and agencies who contact the Scotland’s Domestic Abuse and Forced Marriage (SDAFH) Helpline.
The Organisation
Scottish Women’s Aid is Scotland’s leading voluntary sector organisation working to prevent domestic abuse and promote effective policy and practice responses for women, children and young people who experience domestic abuse. We are the umbrella organisation for 36 autonomous Women’s Aid groups delivering direct services to women, children and young people across Scotland.
What We Need
With excellent telephone skills and an understanding of domestic abuse, the post holder will need to be able to respond effectively and sensitively to calls from a wide range of people. You will have an understanding of the services available to support helpline callers, experience of using computer-based information systems and demonstrate the ability to work on your own initiative.
Scotland’s Domestic Abuse and Forced Marriage Helpline operates on a 24/7 basis using a varying pattern of day, back and occasional night shift.
