Jordanhill Parish Church is based in Jordanhill, in the North West of Glasgow. The church holds services of worship on Wednesday and Sunday mornings.
The adjoining Halls play host throughout the week, and weekends to a wide range of user groups including Jordanhill Out of School Service [JOSS].
We now have an opportunity for a self-motivated and responsible Church Officer to join our team that includes the Minister, Organist, Administer and Cleaner.
You will be responsible for ensuring the security, assisting with maintenance, and ensuring the cleanliness of our church buildings including our halls, as well as providing a warm welcome to all users of our church.
Ability to carry and move light furnishings will be essential and you will have a high level of competence in carrying out safe and effective cleaning procedures. Light property maintenance skills, while not essential, will be beneficial for the smooth running of the premises. Understanding and responding positively to the various needs of users of the premises will play an important part of your role, as will your ability to work independently and on your own initiative.
Certificates of Fire Safety, Health and Safety and First aid would be advantageous.
