Inspiring Young Voices is a SCIO (Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation) whose objective is to enable children and young people, particularly those with additional support needs/disabilities, to have their voices heard – where and when they wish.

It supports them in raising awareness and bringing about positive changes in matters they see as important. It advises them on ensuring that their human rights are respected. It helps them to increase opportunities, improve their quality of life, and hold people to account.

The charity was established in 2000 as Highland Children’s Forum and then Highland Children and Young People’s Forum (HCYPF).

With a change of name, a renewed vision and strategic plan, and a range of new projects, Inspiring Young Voices is entering an exciting new phase and we are looking for an energetic, capable and experienced individual to lead the charity to greater success over the next year and beyond.

The Chief Officer will lead, manage and develop the work of Inspiring Young Voices in line with the charity’s strategic plan and brand proposition. They will support the Board and any working groups to ensure they are able to fulfil their responsibilities. They will represent and be the voice of the charity with key stakeholders and partners.
