Role

About the role: Beatroute Arts seeks a dynamic, motivated and highly organised individual to join its small team in the role of Youth Community Engagement Worker. This role will oversee the day-to-day operations of Beatroute’s popular youth arts programme, ensuring that every session is run safely and effectively. The Community Engagement Worker will be responsible for leading a team of youth workers and volunteers in the daily planning and scheduling of activities (including activity set up and tidy away), co-ordination of freelance facilitators during each session, member support and the delivery of group activities such as group games and arts and crafts. Supported by the Project Manager, The Community Engagement Worker will also carry out key duties regarding programme development and administration, such as evaluation and data collection, managing member registration and attendance processes, planning sessions and co-ordinating facilitator and youth work staff schedules.

Hours:

20 hours per week, Monday to Thursday evenings with development time to be worked flexibly in line with the needs of the organisation. During school holiday periods,

hours will be worked as and when required in development and support of youth holiday programmes. Occasional weekend working may also be necessary.
