Background information
The Welcoming Association is a charity that works with asylum seekers, refugees and migrants in Edinburgh. We won the 2021 Ashden Award for Greener Communities, and three of our volunteers also won prestigious prizes at the Inspiring Volunteer Awards 2021.
Purpose of the role
The Energy Advice Coordinator will hold overall responsibility for The Welcoming’s Home Energy programme, funded through the Energy Industry Voluntary Redress Scheme. The two-year project aims to tackle and prevent fuel poverty and associated risks by providing free and impartial home energy advice and support to New Scots households in Edinburgh.

Please note that you must already be eligible to work in the UK to be employed by The Welcoming Association.
The post holder’s base location will be The Welcoming’s office on 20/1 Westfield Avenue, Edinburgh, EH11 2TT. The role will also involve visiting service users’ homes in the Edinburgh area to carry out home energy visits.
