Role
Due to a Significant increase in Funding, we are currently looking for highly motivated caring individuals to join our well established and professional team of Support Workers working throughout Fife. Our organisation supports individuals with any illness and/or disability in their own home and to access their local community. You will have the opportunity to make a difference to individuals lives whilst caring for them and providing their full-time family Carer with a short break.

What we require from you: -
- Availability for this part-time role (minimum 64 hours over 4 weeks). Working pattern will include some evening work and 2 out of 4 weekends.
- Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Registration and Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) Registration will be required for all successful candidates.
- It is preferred that candidates hold (although not essential) but be willing to work towards (SVQ2) – Social Services and Healthcare SVQ – SCQF Level 7.

The Supported Housing Worker role requires assisting in the management of the development thus ensuring the tenants are able to enjoy an acceptable standard of living in an environment which is clean, safe and friendly. You will be responsible for overseeing the wellbeing of the tenants and for assisting them in maintaining their independence.
As Housing Care Worker your role will involve working with our tenants to ensure they receive the support and personal care identified in their care plans. You will directly support tenants in their homes by providing individual advice, practical housing support assistance and personal care.
Both roles are to ensure that we are able to offer the best service to our tenants and make it possible for our tenants to continue enjoying as much independent living as they’re able.

As a key member of the Senior Management Team, the Head of Finance is responsible for providing accurate and timely financial information to the Board of Trustees, Chief Executive Officer and other senior managers to support strategic decision-making and safeguard the assets of Connecting Carers.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the finance function, including budgeting, management accounting and cash management as well as developing and implementing financial policies and controls and lead on risk management. In addition, you will be responsible for managing the Grant and Trust officer and lead on the development of a Fundraising Strategy for the organisation, as well as managing the team responsible for delivering grants to Unpaid Carers.
You must be passionate about what we do and our commitment to supporting unpaid Carers throughout Highland. This is a fantastic opportunity as Head of Finance to use your skills and creativity to make a difference to the lives of unpaid Carers throughout Highland.

Children, Young People and Family Support Worker

Fife Women’s Aid are looking to recruit a full-time and a part-time member of staff to provide advice, advocacy, support and services to children, young people and families who have experienced domestic abuse. Applicants should have experience of providing support in a relevant social care setting.
The successful applicants will have at least SVQ Level III or equivalent level of qualification in childcare or other relevant subject, or equivalent experience and willingness to work towards a qualification.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a high degree of motivation and have the ability to work as part of a team as well as flexible hours to suit the needs of families. An ability to cover on-call is an advantage (additional payments are made for this role).

Community Connexions Outreach Worker – Fife

We are looking for a Community Connexions Outreach Worker for the Fife area. You will be involved in supporting people living with dementia to establish personal goals and outcomes and help them to achieve these. The Outreach service is a short-term intervention and support service offering guidance and assistance to people living with dementia and their carers to help live life to the full and as independently as possible. This may involve helping to reduce social isolation, building confidence in using public transport, engaging with the local community and much more!
The successful applicant will have a positive approach to dementia. You will be flexible, inclusive, creative, and organised in your approach. You will be sensitive and compassionate with the ability to support people in times of difficulty or distress. You will be an excellent communicator who can work effectively both with individuals and with groups. You will have a positive approach to your own continued professional development and a willingness to participate in relevant training. A relevant qualification and previous experience of working with people with dementia would be an advantage.
