Role

Carnegie UK is looking for a Senior Policy Advocate to help us put wellbeing at the centre of policymaking across the UK and Ireland.

Set up with an endowment from Andrew Carnegie, our organisation may be over a century old, but our mission of improving wellbeing has never been more important.

Are you passionate about working to achieve change in complexity? Are you keen to develop your career in the field of public policy and social change? Are you motivated by Carnegie UK’s mission to improve collective wellbeing and excited by the prospect of being able to take a long-term view?

Your background might be in social research, civil society campaigning, economics, community development or the civil service. Or something completely different.

What we are looking for is someone that is committed to our mission, passionate about our values and motivated by the challenge of long-term system change.

The post-holder will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our new place-based wellbeing programme. This is an end-to-end role which involves scoping and commissioning work, project management, building relationships, ensuring delivery, and learning about impact.

Carnegie UK offers a flexible and supportive working environment and exceptional terms and conditions. We operate a 35-hour working week and provide 5 paid days each year for volunteering. We operate a hybrid working policy and staff spend a minimum of two days each week together in our office at Andrew Carnegie House in Dunfermline.
