This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about working in this community to help make it a better place to live, work and play. Glen Urquhart is a growing & diverse community and the GURCA Cis seeking a Community Development Officer to work with the GURCA Trustees and other partner & local organisations .

The main priorities of the role are to:

• Managing funding applications for various capital and revenue projects

• Lead the project to refurbish the Glenurquhart Public Hall

• Facilitate and co-ordinate the various activities and events run by GURCA

• Work on the projects agreed as part of the Community Action Plan

• Administration duties

We are looking for someone who is able is

• Friendly approachable and a good communicator

• Able work as part of a team but also able to work independently and under their own initiative

• Good with IT and social media

• Able to manage a varied workload and be flexible around working hours

This requires a commitment of 4 days/week at a salary of £26,000 pro-rata. There will be some evening and weekend working required.
