About the role
As a Lived Experience Coordinator, you’ll be key in providing the lived experience evidence needed to deliver the objectives in our strategic plan. Building on the learning from our recent Time for Change work, we’ll rely on you to ensure that lived experience is at the heart of all our work. You’ll also be responsible for seeing that our approach is consistent and underpins and supports the strategy and that our Lived Experience work better represents the diverse range of people affected by the housing crisis in Scotland. In short, you’ll make sure that every interaction, every real story, every breach and every event counts in our fight for people’s right to a home.
About you
To succeed, you’ll need relevant experience that includes having developed a plan for service activity or experience of service design. You’ll also need to be used to working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and the communication skills to present information and arguments in a clear and compelling way. The ability to listen to, engage and empower individuals is essential too, as is a flair for solving problems creatively and enthusiasm for delivering workshops and presentations. Comfortable collaborating with people from other teams, you have a flexible approach, plus great time management skills when tackling a range of tasks with varied responsibilities. Last but not least, you’re proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel, e-mail and internet.

Cyrenians’ Scottish Centre for Conflict Resolution (SCCR) is a National Resource Centre for best practice in conflict resolution, mediation and early intervention work with a particular focus on young people and families. Our award-winning digital resources, free training and events improve understanding of conflict and emotional needs, to transform relationships and lives.

This role will ensure that the SCCR continues to evolve and extend its reach. You will:
- Develop and deliver workshops and events, both online and in person
- Contribute to our range of digital resources

To lead the provision of relationship-based support delivered to young people and families in the community and to promote positive outcomes in line with the values and principles of includem.
Purpose & Context of Role
The postholder will manage their own caseload ensuring support plans are developed with the young person to respond to their individual needs and supporting them to improve outcomes in line with GIRFEC principles and includem’s model of support.
A project worker will demonstrate leadership and ownership over effective service delivery to young people by managing outcomes for young people through use of line managers, colleagues and organisational tools, processes, policies, and procedures.
The key responsibilities of the Project Worker include, but are not limited to:
Service Delivery
- To build relationships and deliver outcome-based support to young people and families, involving all key stakeholders.
- To be available for young people and families at critical times
- To explore values and attitudes with young people in a supportive manner, to affirm and validate their feelings and ideas, and nurture and confirm their learning.
- To ensure a focus on regular and appropriate case progression to help young people and families recognise progress.
- To assess and respond appropriately to situations where young people and/or families may be at risk of harm.
- To support with crisis management and generate solutions for young people and families using the Helpline, with risk enablement being at the heart of professional judgement and decision making.
People
- To understand the different coping mechanisms that young people and their families use to deal with stress and high emotions, and to respond appropriately.
- To demonstrate professional resilience when providing support with sensitive or challenging issues
- To use a strengths-based approach to empower individuals facing adversity to find solutions and make positive changes, ensuring resources are in place to sustain these changes.
- To establish mutually trusting, open and non-judgemental relationship with young people and their families
- To encourage and lead collaborative team work to provide a ‘scaffolding of support’ around each young person and their family.
- To respect and value the contribution of wider stakeholders and the delivery of includem services.
- Where opportunity allows experience of directing, supporting, and mentoring Assistant Project Workers/Sessional staff.
- Any other duties as designated by your line manager.

The Role
Cornerstone is one of Scotland's largest charities with over 40 years' experience providing great care and support for adults and children with various support needs across Scotland.
Reporting to our Head of Finance, you’ll be responsible for the delivery of a comprehensive payroll and pensions service, ensuring timely payments, legal compliance, and excellent customer service.
You’ll also ensure that all policies, processes and procedures relating to payroll and employment tax are reviewed and maintained regularly in line with legislative or best practice changes.
Working with the payroll team and with the wider finance and HR team, you’ll be a subject matter expert in all aspects of pensions, employment and benefits tax, National Insurance, and other associated taxes.
About You
What we'll need you to bring: -
- Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline
- Recognised chartered institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP/IPPM equivalent)
- A minimum of 3 years’ post qualification payroll experience
- Attention to detail, delivering accurate, reliable and timely outputs
- The ability to implement quality processes and procedures and communicate these clearly verbally and in writing
- Comfortable learning new systems, developing and implementing new procedures and proposing solutions for problems with systems
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and organise work to tight deadlines
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships and communication with team members

Reporting to our Finance Lead, you will be responsible for taking ownership of the transactional finance functions within our organisation. You’ll manage and develop these functions ensuring that they are compliant, accurate, reliable and contributing to timely management information.
Location

The Role
You’ll support our Finance Lead in the delivery of monthly management accounts, undertake variance analysis activities and the creation of budgets, forecasts and financial plans.
A key focus of this role is to improve the Internal Controls of each of the transactional functions: Billing and Credit Control, Treasury and Purchase Ledger. This will involve evaluating current processes and documenting procedures and looking for control gaps.
About You
What we'll need you to bring: -
- Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline
- Recognised chartered accountancy CCAB qualification or qualified by experience (QBE) OR Working towards a CCAB with evidence of recent exam passes and expectation of qualification date
- Attention to detail, delivering accurate, reliable and timely outputs
- The ability to implement quality processes and procedures and communicate these clearly verbally and in writing
- Comfortable learning new systems, developing and implementing new procedures and proposing solutions for problems with systems
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and organise work to tight deadlines

- A minimum of 4 years’ experience of working in a varied finance role in a complex organisation.
