Organisational and Programme overview:
Linlithgow Community Development Trust is a community organisation who aim to make Linlithgow a better place to live and work. They instil passion by working with local people and in partnership with local groups to drive ideas and enthusiasm and have recently opened the West Lothian Cycle Circuit. This has led to us starting a Linlithgow Active Travel programme to encourage more people to cycle, walk and wheel for the benefit of their health and for the benefit of the environment.
The West Lothian Cycle circuit has been designed for easy access with inclusion a key driver in the development of the scheme. Whether it’s used by children learning to ride a bike, people of all ages cycling for fun, women, people with disabilities mastering the joy of riding an adaptive bike or handcycle or cyclists with their sights on sporting success, the West Lothian Cycle Circuit will champion a culture of cycling for generations to come.
Job Purpose:
This role will act as the project lead, to encourage local involvement and behaviour change around sustainable active travel. You will be responsible for staff and volunteer management, stakeholder management, budgets and monitoring and evaluation.
Embedded within Linlithgow Community Development Trust (LCDT), you will be part of the development and delivery of events to promote the exciting new West Lothian Cycle Circuit. You will work with partners and staff to lead on all aspects of the active travel programme, coordinating and supporting a facility programme that compliments and adds value to other cycling, walking and wheeling related activities within West Lothian. These will specifically include West Lothian Cycle Circuit partners such as West Lothian Leisure, Active Schools, West Lothian Clarion Cycle Club, Scottish Cycling and First Step Development as well as disability focused organisations. You will ensure a programme of activities delivered in the heart of the communities and at the West Lothian Cycle Circuit. This programme’s outcomes are that more people will gain confidence to cycle, walk and wheel more for everyday journeys.

Community Energy Scotland is recruiting for a Senior Technical Officer with experience of all aspects of technical project delivery, including scoping of technical work, writing bids and tenders, managing client relationships, overseeing and providing expert input into technical content creation, and delivering outputs on time and to budget.

The Role of CEO:
In 2026, as EFCT celebrates its milestone 25th event and welcomes its 1,000,000th visitor, the organisation is looking to the future and seeking a visionary Chief Executive to lead its next chapter.
The new CEO will work in close partnership with the Board of Trustees to steer the long-term strategic direction of the charity, ensuring the continued success, sustainability and creative evolution of its flagship event. They will safeguard the Trust’s financial health, uphold best-practice governance, and provide strong, values-led leadership to the operations, creative, and production teams. As the public ambassador for EFCT, the CEO will build and nurture key relationships with partners, funders, local authorities, media, and the wider community—protecting the reputation of the event and amplifying its impact.
The CEO will also oversee the Trust’s community grant-giving programme, ensuring that the surplus generated by the event continues to benefit organisations across Highland Perthshire in meaningful and impactful ways. With responsibility for strategic planning, financial management, operational delivery, risk oversight and compliance, they will ensure that the Trust continues to operate transparently, ethically, and sustainably.
Candidates will bring proven senior leadership experience, ideally gained in a creative, cultural, events, charity or tourism environment. They will have successfully led organisations through development and change, managed complex operational programmes, and implemented financially sound, future-focused strategies. A strong communicator and relationship-builder, they will demonstrate high emotional intelligence, commercial acumen, and an ability to inspire multidisciplinary teams. Green Spaces & Wellbeing Officer

Abundant Borders works to reduce food insecurity, improve wellbeing and strengthen community resilience across the Scottish Borders. We do this by creating and supporting a network of community food gardens where people can learn to grow food sustainably, build skills, connect with others and improve their physical and mental health. About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate, organised and community-minded Green Spaces Officer to support volunteers across our network of community gardens. This role will help people to take part in outdoor activities that improve wellbeing, increase confidence, and strengthen social connection.
Working closely with Garden Leaders and volunteer teams, the Green Spaces Officer will help ensure our gardens are safe, welcoming, inclusive environments where everyone can participate—particularly individuals facing disadvantage, isolation, or poor mental health.

Key Responsibilities
- Support volunteers to participate in garden sessions in inclusive, safe, positive ways
- Provide 1:1 support where needed, helping individuals to build confidence and skills

- Work with staff and volunteers to ensure gardens remain welcoming, accessible community spaces
- Help volunteers to set goals, reflect on progress, and engage fully in community life
- Contribute to monitoring, evaluation and volunteer feedback
- Support the development of wellbeing-focused initiatives within garden settings
- Liaise with referring partners (e.g. mental health teams, housing associations, support workers)

- Able to work independently across multiple locations
