Come and join the hospice team making today matter for patients and families across Ayrshire. We currently have a vacancy for a housekeeping assistant within our housekeeping team.
The Ayrshire Hospice provides specialist palliative care for adults with life-limiting illness within Ayrshire and Arran. We provide a wide range of services and care in people’s homes, care homes and hospitals, as well as in the hospice itself. This is provided at no cost to our patients or their families. Our vision is to reach and improve the lives of everyone in Ayrshire affected by life-limiting illness.
The housekeeping post will initially work between Lochranza building, Ailsa Hospital and the Ayrshire Hospice building, Miller Road, Ayr until 2024 when Hospice returns to their home on Racecourse Road, Ayr.
You will assist in the delivery of a support service through a high quality of housekeeping to all accommodation in compliance with Health and Safety Regulations and the Hospice Infection Control Policy. You will also carry out all domestic duties maintaining a high standard. No formal qualifications are required but the ability to be flexible and adaptable and to work effectively as part of a team is essential. An awareness of COSHH and Health and Safety Regulations along with experience of housekeeping duties within a similar environment is essential.
