Main Purpose of the Job:
The Senior Administrator is a key role at Badenoch and Strathspey Community Connections (BSCC) which will support all aspects of our business, service delivery, and operations to ensure they are carried out successfully, efficiently, safely, and cost effectively. This will be a varied and exciting role that can be shaped and developed to the successful candidate’s skills, passion and experience. Training, mentoring and CPD will be provided internally and externally.
The role crosses several areas of our business, and over the next 3 months, will take responsibility for the daily function of the office and support the development of the charity. It is a wide ranging, busy job with multiple priorities. As such, we need someone who has strong people skills, is efficient, process minded and able to juggle competing demands. The role will be hands on and may also involve leading projects and working directly with our service users and volunteers.
The Senior Administrator must be an excellent communicator and able to forge positive relationships with a wide variety of people, including volunteers and service users.
Background
In 1999 Badenoch and Strathspey Community Transport Company was created by and for the people of this area to provide accessible transport. In 2022, recognising that, through our transport provision, we were providing a wider range of services, we rebranded and changed our name. More recently, we have refreshed our purpose, vision and mission.
Our purpose is to strengthen our community by providing accessible transport and wellbeing opportunities. Our work is regularly recognised at a national level, most recently in June 2025 at the Scottish Transport Awards. The organisation is growing and developing at pace, with further opportunities in the years ahead, so it is an exciting time to get involved and help shape our development.
BSCC is supported by eight part time staff and circa 80 volunteers, who all care passionately about our community.

Somebody Cares Scotland is an Aberdeen-based charity dedicated to restoring dignity to people in need across the city and surrounding communities. Through its furniture provision service, food bank, and practical support programmes, the charity helps individuals and families facing challenging circumstances to establish safe, comfortable homes and access essential resources.
As the organisation continues to grow its impact, Somebody Cares Scotland is now seeking an experienced and motivated Fundraising Development Lead to establish and lead its fundraising function. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future sustainability of the charity and play a key role in enabling its services to reach even more people in need.
The successful candidate will be the organisation’s dedicated fundraising professional, responsible for developing and implementing a fundraising strategy that creates sustainable income growth and long-term financial resilience. Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Board, you will identify opportunities across trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, and other appropriate income streams, building the foundations of a successful fundraising programme from the ground up.
A key aspect of the role will involve researching and developing relationships with prospective funders, preparing high-quality funding applications and proposals, and managing the full funding cycle from prospecting and application through to stewardship and reporting. You will work to strengthen existing relationships with supporters while identifying and securing new opportunities that align with the charity’s mission, values, and ambitions.
The role will also involve establishing the systems, processes, and infrastructure required to support a growing fundraising function. This includes implementing effective donor management and reporting systems, creating stewardship frameworks, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring all fundraising activity complies with relevant legislation, regulations, and best practice standards.
Working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation, you will help articulate the impact of Somebody Cares Scotland’s work through compelling case studies, evidence-led storytelling, and meaningful supporter communications. You will also act as an ambassador for the charity, representing the organisation at networking opportunities, partnership meetings, and stakeholder events throughout the region.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of securing income through trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, major donors, or related fundraising disciplines, together with a proven ability to manage the complete fundraising cycle. You will be a strategic thinker with excellent written communication skills, capable of translating complex operational activity into compelling cases for support that inspire confidence and investment.
This is a rare opportunity to join Somebody Cares Scotland at a pivotal point in its development and to shape a fundraising function from day one. For the right candidate, it offers the chance to leave a lasting legacy, helping to secure the future of a charity that is transforming lives across Aberdeen through compassion, dignity, and practical support.
Urban Roots is a thriving environmental and health improvement organisation. Over the past 11 years, we have worked with local residents and organisations across the Southside of Glasgow to deliver a broad programme of activities that improve the environment and support health and wellbeing.
During Summer 2019, Urban Roots ran the first ever ‘Branching Out for Women’ in Mall’s Mire Community Woodlands in Glasgow. The aim was to create a safe, supportive space for women who have experienced trauma to be able to enjoy the outdoors. This was so successful, with such positive feedback from the women who took part, that we knew we needed to continue running a women’s woodland group with a specific focus on mental health and wellbeing. And so ‘Women in the Woods’ was born.
Women in the Woods meet every Wednesday in Mall’s Mire, with a varied programme of activities shaped by what the women want to do.
We are seeking a female co-facilitator with experience of working with groups of adults outdoors, and a strong understanding of how mental health issues affect women’s lives, to support the programme in 2026-27. It is very important to us that our group is inclusive, welcoming and supportive to all women, and we welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds.
Working with the current group leader, you will support and motivate the women through a programme of activities designed to build wellbeing, skills and confidence and to instil a sense of ownership and pride in the local environment. Example activities include campfire cooking, foraging, practical woodland conservation tasks, bushcraft, mindfulness activities, environmental art, photography, and wildlife surveys. You will also be expected to carry out recording of session activities and carry out monitoring and evaluation. Applicants must be available to work on Wednesdays.
