We are looking for 2 Youth Work Leads to deliver youth sessions, clubs and activities for our young people and families within YoMo services across Glasgow the delivery will be varied and will always be driven by the needs of young people and the community.
There will also be the remit of devising and implementing new projects and clubs as guided by funding requirements and service user’s needs. These will include building and creating programs that provide accreditation through youth and SQA awards that build skills for young people’s future employment.
You will work in partnership with local organisations, social work and schools and build up strong positive community links. You will work to enhance the lives of young people by ensuring activities are provided to develop their mental, emotional, physical and social well-being needs.
You will have the responsibility of helping with fundraising drives and initiatives.
You will also be committed to ongoing personal development and undertake training or other professional development activities as required.
All other reasonable duties will be required to be undertaken as and when required and agreed with the Project Manager.

Thenue Housing Association has approximately 75 staff and provides high quality housing with a stock base of approximately 3,000 properties in our six main communities, as well as 21 supported accommodation projects, mainly located in Glasgow. About the Role:
As a Support Worker, you’ll work as part of a team in providing safe, secure, supported accommodation for the people who use our services. You’ll do this by providing practical and emotional support and encouraging them to achieve their own personal outcomes in all aspects of their daily lives. Our Holland Street service is 24/7 emergency access, supporting individuals aged between 16-35 who are experiencing homelessness with referrals coming via the case work teams at Glasgow City Council.

To ensure the provision and development of quality advice, information and representation on statutory benefits and other social welfare matters in the Scottish Borders.
Key Responsibilities
• Interview clients over the phone, and face-to-face to gather relevant information about their circumstances and identify the areas they require assistance with.
• Research advice areas to identify possible options for the client.
• Improving access to benefit entitlements and maximising income.
• Provide representation for clients at social security first tier tribunals.
• Provide support and guidance on complex cases to CAB staff and volunteers.
• Run outreach sessions across Roxburgh and Berwickshire to enable our clients to access advice within their local community.
• Identify social policy issues to feedback to the wider network to help benefit both local and national social policy campaigns.
• Negotiate with third parties on the client’s behalf to resolve issues they are facing, for example, with employers, benefit agencies, and landlords, etc.
• Coordinate with other specialist advisors and projects within the Citizens Advice Bureau network to ensure clients receive support with complex issues.
• Keep comprehensive records of casework which meet audit requirements, including use of CASTLE case recording system.
• Identify areas for personal development and proactively explore training opportunities to continue your own personal development.
• Keep up to date on relevant legislation and case law relevant to the role.

The Big Issue is looking to appoint to a critical role supporting our vendors. The Support and Outreach Worker will be a leading role in our belief of “A Hand Up Not a Hand Out”, and has been created to improve our service to vendors, helping them to increase their income through selling our magazine and providing casework support. In April 2023, the Big Issue Group launched a community interest company, Big Issue Changing Lives, to support more people affected by poverty and increase the impact of our services. Big Issue Changing Lives C.I.C. provides vendors with the end-to-end support they need including sales set up and support, access to health and wellbeing services, and employment opportunities.
You will also positively promote The Big Issue in your region, build partnerships with third-party organisations and identify and promote opportunities all with the aim of moving people out of poverty.
