nurses, volunteers and one-to-one support teams helping families adjust to life with a heart or lung condition or after a stroke.
We are looking for a Peer and Involvement Coordinator to join our amazing Peer, Participation and Engagement team. The Peer and Involvement Coordinators support and build positive relationships with and between our partnered Peer Support Groups. You will provide advice and guidance to the Peer Support Groups in your coordinator area, connecting them with relevant services, activities and networks locally. You will manage CHSS Peer Volunteers responsible for clusters of Peer Support Groups in your geographic area.
We are looking for someone with drive and creativity to support the expansion of the Peer Support network in pursuance of our strategic aim to expand our Peer Support community from 3 thousand to 10 thousand members by 2028. You will work with Peer, Participation and Engagement colleagues to support the CHSS Participation and Involvement Framework by involving Peer Group members in our participation and engagement activity.

Wish (Women in Safe Homes) provides accommodation and support for women escaping domestic abuse and who are at risk of experiencing homelessness.
We provide secure, safe accommodation to up to 30 women and their families in individual tenancies across Edinburgh and provide holistic support to them and their families.

• Updating our housing benefit and service charge payments
• Assisting in monitoring and evaluation requirements and updating record keeping systems

About the team
Our Policy & Participation Team helps develop Cyrenians’ work to influence policy and systems change through learning from lived and professional experience.
Based within Cyrenians’ Outreach pillar, we work closely with services across the whole organisation, as well as external stakeholders and partners, including national and local government, funders and other third sector organisations.
The team currently consists of a Policy & Participation Manager and Youth Participation Lead.
We cover three main projects:
In addition to delivering the projects above, the team works closely with the Press & Public Affairs Manager on influencing opportunities and – when capacity allows – supports other policy and participation initiatives across Cyrenians’ services, e.g. cross-organisational responses to public policy consultations.
About the role
This is a new role created to mainly support delivery on two of our participation projects: the Scottish Frontline Network and All in For Change.
Working closely with the Policy & Participation Manager, you will deliver activities across both projects. The main focus will be to create safe and inclusive ways for people with experience of homelessness and frontline staff to share their expertise and influence change. Key activities will include organising and facilitating various types of engaging events, workshops, focus groups and meetings (both online and in-person) for frontline professionals and people with lived experience of homelessness.
As this is a new post and there will be scope to shape the position depending on your own interests and experience. We are keen to support you to try things out and bring your own ideas to the table.

Glasgow Association for Mental Health is one of the principal providers of community mental health services in Greater Glasgow. We are commissioned by Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership to deliver a Compassionate Distress
Response Service (CDRS) for people in distress who do not require medical or clinical intervention.
We would like to recruit for our Primary Care In Hrs Pathway. This pathway takes referral form for GPs and their Primary Care Team. The In-Hrs service operates 5 days a week Monday to Friday 9pm -4.30pm.

Providing support to the Huntington’s Disease Specialist team in our Lanarkshire Service, the part-time Admin/Resource Worker has a key role to play in the specialist team which provides care management, specialist assessment and regular emotional support to individuals, and their families, throughout Lanarkshire. The service works in partnership with, and provides training and education to, local Health and Social Care teams, professionals and voluntary agencies involved in all aspects of Huntington’s disease care.
We invite applications from candidates with administration experience and excellent communication, IT and interpersonal skills. You will be competent in using databases and spreadsheets and have working knowledge of NHS IT applications and audio typing. People impacted by Huntington’s disease need specialist services to cope with a severe and complex disease, the impact on families and a lack of awareness amongst health and social care providers and the wider public.
Scottish Huntington’s Association is the only charity in the country exclusively dedicated to providing expert and personalised support for those impacted by Huntington’s disease.
Our personalised support reduces unnecessary hospital admissions, supports carers and other family members; lowers household poverty; and alleviates wellbeing risks to children and young people living in Huntington’s families.
We are commissioned by NHS Boards and Health and Social Care Partnerships throughout the country to share our expertise with front line staff and build support for improved services and higher standards of care for every family impacted by this devastating disease.
About Huntington’s disease
Huntington’s disease is caused by an inherited faulty gene that damages the brain over time. People with the disease can eventually lose the ability to walk, talk, eat, drink and care for themselves, requiring specialist support from those who understand the condition.
The disease is genetic, meaning it is passed down from one generation to the next. It therefore impacts entire families over generations rather than individuals alone. Anyone with a parent who has Huntington’s has a 50% risk of inheriting the condition from them.
Around 800 people in Scotland are living with the symptoms of Huntington’s disease right now. A further 3200 are estimated to be at risk of developing Huntington’s disease as a result of inheriting the faulty gene.
