TACT is looking for one exceptional and experienced individual to become a member of the new Family Forward Ayrshire team.
The Role:
The Early-Stage Employability Worker will provide a dedicated confidence, readiness and early employability strand for adults who are furthest from the labour market and who may not yet be ready to engage with mainstream employability provision.
The role recognises that for some adults, particularly those experiencing poverty, poor health, trauma, low confidence or disrupted life circumstances, a conventional employability offer can be too early or feel unattainable. The focus is therefore on building the foundations for future progression: confidence, routine, participation, relationships, practical experience and a sense of capability.
Working within each person's existing family plan, the Early-Stage Employability Worker will provide flexible, strengths-based support without imposing a compliance or progression requirement. The role will work closely with Family Navigators and the Progression Coordinator so that adults can move towards further employability support when they are genuinely ready, rather than being pushed prematurely into formal provision.
Role Philosophy:
The Early-Stage Employability Worker recognises that employment is sometimes the destination, not the starting point.
For adults who are furthest from the labour market, the first step may be leaving the house, joining a group, trying something new, taking on a small responsibility, volunteering for an hour or simply beginning to believe that change is possible.
The role is therefore about building the first rungs of the ladder. It creates safe opportunities for skills, confidence and participation while remaining connected to the individual's wider family plan. Progression is encouraged when it is meaningful and sustainable, but never pursued simply to meet a target.
The worker's role is to help adults move from “I'm not ready” to “I might be able to”, and ultimately to support them to take their next step when that step is genuinely theirs.
Equality and Inclusion
We are committed to building a diverse workforce and welcome applications from all sections of the community. Applications from people with lived experience of poverty, caring responsibilities or barriers to employment are encouraged.

GSC Auldhouse is seeking an ambitious and enterprising General Manager to lead the next stage of our development.
Based at the home of Giffnock Soccer Centre — Scotland’s largest grassroots football club, with more than 1,400 players and 200 volunteer coaches — GSC Auldhouse is a charity with a clear purpose: to harness the power of football and our outstanding facilities to create opportunities for people and communities across Glasgow and the west of Scotland.
With £1.3 million invested in the development of our GSC Auldhouse base, and successful community programmes already supporting children, families, women and people who are new to Scotland, the foundations are firmly in place. We now need an inspiring, commercially minded leader who can turn that potential into sustainable growth.
Working closely with our Board, the General Manager will shape and deliver our social-outreach strategy, develop new funding and commercial partnerships, maximise income from our facilities and oversee the continued development of the Giffnock Soccer Centre Academy.
This is a rare opportunity to combine strategic leadership with hands-on delivery — helping to establish GSC Auldhouse as grassroots football’s leading provider of sport, health, inclusion and employability programmes.
Ricefield Arts & Cultural Centre is a registered charity and social enterprise for the exploration and promotion of Chinese culture and has an excellent reputation for delivering original and inspiring creative experiences, cultural events and workshops to community groups, public institutions and arts audiences around Scotland.
We are currently looking to appoint a Treasurer to join our small Board. The Treasurer will be responsible for managing all financial matters on behalf of our organisation and will be responsible for ensuring that the organisation has robust financial processes to ensure it meets its legal and constitutional requirements. It will also be the responsibility of the Treasurer to report the financial position at the board meetings. While we encourage and welcome applicants of all backgrounds, we are keen to hear from candidates that have experience of charity financial management or are chartered in a suitable accountancy field.
All Trustees are required to attend monthly board meetings, either at our office located in the heart of Glasgow city centre or via Zoom. In addition, we ask Trustees to attend our annual board development day, important meetings with stakeholders and some events and projects, where possible. As Ricefield Arts is a social enterprise, the role also involves serving as our Board of Directors.
Please note that this is a voluntary role. Neither the Trustees nor Board of Directors receive any remuneration, however, travel expenses incurred in carrying out board duties will be fully reimbursed.
Other than the Treasurer, we also wish to appoint additional Trustee(s) with community engagement or cultural events management experience to serve our Board. Please check our website for more information.

Now we're ready for the next chapter.
We're looking for an innovative, strategic and big-picture thinker to become our new CEO and help us explore just how far OutLET could go.
