Job Purpose:
In line with the Scottish Government’s policy priority of tackling the climate emergency, this role will focus on the delivery of environmental initiatives, specifically in the village of Bridgend. Through the delivery of climate action, education and awareness activities, the project officer will work closely with project staff, volunteers and partners to maximise the local community engagement, increase the number of volunteers recruited in the village and promote the local delivery of existing circular economy projects.
In addition to weekly delivery of Tool Library and Repair Shop collections and returns, the project officer will be required to design and deliver a series of seven monthly workshop sessions focusing on climate action and awareness.
This role will be heavily focused on engagement with those seldom heard and experiencing barriers so a strong understanding of, and commitment to, equality and diversity is essential.

The Role:
The Officer (Peer Support) will empower students to take a holistic and autonomous approach to community building and facilitate the development and expansion of peer-led activity across the Association and the wider University environment.
This will include:
Supporting school-based peer support programmes of activity in line with the Association’s methodologies and approaches
Leading the annual distribution of grants to students (Student Opportunities Development Fund)
Developing evidence-based guides to support student-led community building and wellbeing activities
Collaborating with departmental colleagues to empower students to lead community building activity (Blether Together)
Working collaboratively with student sabbatical officers, staff, and the wider student body to develop robust, evidence-based plans for future community building events that celebrate the diversity of the student population
Supporting a review of the Association’s contribution to peer mentoring programmes across the university and associated change management plans
This role will also work as part of a team on delivering support for a wider range of student groups and will contribute to our overall objective of providing all students access to diverse, inclusive and innovative activities and developments, in order to enhance their student experience.
You will collaborate with colleagues within Student Opportunities and a variety of other teams across the Association, including planning for Welcome Week, Careers Fairs, National Volunteering Week, Give it A Go, Student Awards etc.

Voluntary Action East Renfrewshire SCIO is a dynamic local charity and the Third Sector Interface working to make East Renfrewshire a better place to live, work and do business. From climate action awareness, volunteer programmes, capacity supports and wellbeing activities, we deliver projects that promote inclusion, sustainability and community wellbeing.
Job Role
The purpose of this role is to lead and deliver our marketing and communications activity. Working with the Communications Support Worker, management team and wider programme teams, the post holder will join us at an exciting time as we settle into our new collaborative community space at Rouken Glen Park.
The role will have a key focus on improving how we communicate our programme activities and showcase our impact and that of the wider community sector in East Renfrewshire. This includes supporting the development of a new website as well as testing and developing other methods and channels to reach a wide range of audiences, including local residents, volunteers, partners and funders.
We are therefore looking for a proactive, creative and confident communicator with excellent writing skills and strong digital and content creation skills. You will be comfortable taking the lead as well as guiding and supporting colleagues across teams to deliver effective communications, helping to build confidence and enthusiasm for marketing and communications across the organisation.
Key Tasks
Working with the Communications Support Worker, the wider Voluntary Action staff and management team, you will:
1. Increase visibility of our new venue and community space, the Community Wellbeing and Enterprise Hub in Rouken Glen Park, and promote its offer to local communities, organisations and partners.
2. Work with the management team to improve how we communicate and engage with local third sector, partners, as well as wider communities, share strategic priorities, plans and consultations, and ensure meaningful opportunities for feedback.
3. Support the development of a new website to provide engaging information, practical support and opportunities for the third sector to have a voice and influence.
4. Work with programme teams to identify and capture impact stories from across activities, collaborations and events and develop these into content across a range of formats suited to different audiences and channels.
5. Oversight of organisation’s marketing and communications activities, guiding and supporting Communications Support Worker and programme teams on communications planning and implementation.
6. Work with Communications Support Worker to ensure co-ordinated and prioritised content planning across channels to increase impact and avoid duplication.
7. Work with programme teams to gather and use audience insights to shape and test marketing and communications methods and channels, improving how we engage with key and new audiences eg, young people.
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Pathways Officer to join our team, supporting young people aged 10–25 who may face disadvantage or complex barriers.
This role is funded through the CashBack for Communities programme and is based within our Pathways Hub, working alongside partners including schools, youth justice and third sector organisations.
Key responsibilities include:
• Providing one-to-one support as a key worker
• Developing personalised Pathway Plans
• Supporting delivery of group sessions and outreach work
• Working with partners to support progression into training, education or employment
• Maintaining accurate records and supporting monitoring requirements

Enable Glasgow is a community based charity working with adults with learning disabilities and their carers and families in Glasgow. We are currently recruiting for a full time Night Shift Coordinator (37.5 hours per week) to join our skilled staff team at our Esmond Street Advanced Support Service in the Yorkhill area of the city. Esmond Street is currently the only service of its kind in the city, providing a high quality 24/7 supported living service to 22 adults with learning disabilities who are older and/or have advanced needs.

The successful candidate will play a senior and supervisory role within our night shift team at our Esmond Street Service and must have experience of support planning and review systems. Experience in a supported living setting, the ability to work on own initiative, and a positive, empowering and flexible approach to the support of people with learning disabilities are also essential. The post requires the successful candidate to be involved in the support supervision of the staff team and the coordination of duties and tasks, as well as playing a lead role in the maintenance of service standards. It is preferable to hold an appropriate qualification, or to be willing and able to achieve this within an agreed timescale. Our Night Shift Coordinators work on a shift rota basis.
