The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a committed and spiritually mature Christian leader to develop and pioneer faith-based youth work across Kinross-shire.

Working as part of the leadership team, you will collaborate closely with the Head of Youth Work, Kinross-shire Parish Church and other local congregations to maintain and grow meaningful opportunities for young people to explore the Christian faith.

You will:

  • Lead and develop weekly and annual faith-based youth initiatives
  • Create and adapt engaging programmes that support young people at different stages of their faith journey
  • Further intergenerational worship opportunities in partnership with local churches
  • Build trusted relationships with young people through open-access youth work
  • Provide individual spiritual support and mentoring to young people
  • Strengthen partnerships between KYTHE and local congregations
  • Contribute to strategic planning and organisational development
  • Model and uphold KYTHE’s Christian values through spiritual leadership and active participation in team prayer and reflection
  • Monitor progress, track outcomes and report to Trustees and church partners
  • Represent KYTHE confidently with stakeholders, churches and community partners

This is a varied and relational role combining youth work delivery, spiritual leadership, partnership development and strategic contribution — offering the opportunity to make a lasting impact on young people and the wider Christian community in Kinross-shire.

What KYTHE Needs From You

The ideal candidate will hold a recognised qualification in Christian Ministry with an emphasis on youth work and bring substantial experience of working with young people. You will be confident discussing and exploring the Christian faith with young people, including those with little prior church experience.

Collaborative and relational in your approach, you will be able to work effectively with churches of different denominations while building trust with young people from diverse backgrounds.

You will demonstrate spiritual maturity, personal integrity and a clear commitment to Christian faith and leadership.

A creative and reflective practitioner, you will be comfortable contributing to team prayer, engaging in your own spiritual development, and supporting colleagues in theirs. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, alongside the ability to manage priorities, contribute to planning, use IT systems effectively, and support monitoring and reporting requirements.

Experience of youth leadership, chaplaincy engagement within schools, programme development, and partnership working within a church context would be advantageous.

About the Role

We are seeking an individual to raise awareness of the Fund’s welfare offer amongst social welfare agencies across the North East of Scotland but also, crucially, to help address the issue of social isolation and feelings of loneliness experienced by some members of the RAF Family.

You will have experience of engaging and supporting people in a community, charity, social care, or other people focused position, supporting those who are socially isolated to be better connected into their communities. You will have good organisational skills, empathy and the ability to listen and build relationships with people who may have complex and challenging welfare needs, assisting them by identifying appropriate support from within the RAF Benevolent Fund and the wider statutory and military charity sector.

This is a community-based position working from home but covering the Inverness, Moray, Aberdeenshire and Grampian regions primarily, delivering both remote and face to face support. The candidate must have their own vehicle to use to travel around these regions. Occasional travel to Edinburgh and London will be required.

Our North Strathclyde Bairns Hoose is an innovative partnership between Children First, 4 Local Authorities ( East Renfrewshire, Renfrewshire, Inverclyde, and East Dunbartonshire), Police Scotland, SCRA, Scottish Courts and Tribunal Service, and Crown Office & Procurator Fiscal Service.

Bairns Hoose is based on the European Barnahus model. Barnahus is a child-friendly, multidisciplinary, and interagency model of justice, care and recovery for children who are victims and witnesses of all forms of violence. A place where all Police, Social Work, Health, Court and Recovery services are based under one roof. Children receive a coordinated trauma responsive plan to support their journey through the care, protection, and justice system. The aim of the model is to prevent re-traumatisation caused by delayed and disjointed investigation and court proceedings; to keep children safe; allow them access to fair justice and to help them recover from the trauma of their ordeal.

We are currently looking for the right person to join our team on a temporary basis whilst a colleague is on Maternity Leave.

In this role, you will lead Change Mental Health’s trust fundraising activities to sustain current services and generate new income for the organisation. Essential Criteria:

Fundraising Experience: You will have a proven track record in trust fundraising but also an interest in other areas of fundraising. About the Role

As Treasurer, you’ll provide financial oversight, guidance and governance at board level. You’ll work closely with the Centre Director and Finance Officer to ensure the organisation remains financially healthy, compliant, and able to plan sustainably.

This is not a bookkeeping role — day-to-day accounting is already managed inhouse. Instead, we are seeking someone who can offer strategic insight, clarity and assurance around finances and risk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the organisation’s financial governance and ensure compliance with OSCR (Scottish Charity Regulator) requirements.
  • Review management accounts, budgets, and financial reports before board meetings.
  • Support the Director in preparing the annual trustees’ report and liaising with independent examiners/auditors.
  • Advise on financial risks, sustainability, reserves, and long term financial planning.
  • Contribute to strategic decisions at Board level, including capital planning and funding strategy.
  • Champion best practice in charity finance and support the development of internal financial processes.

We welcome applicants with a range of financial backgrounds, including but not limited to:

  • Accountants (qualified or part qualified)

About the role

The National Advisory Board (NAB) maximises Barnardo's Scotland's ability to change children's lives in Scotland by providing strategic support and advice to the national executive and bringing their individual and collective skills, experience and networks to bear where opportunities present.

We are looking to add up to 3 people to our existing board with at least one new member who is aged between 18-25 and who may be in formal education, in work or training. We are committed to offering appropriate support in what may well be the first role of this type for the successful candidate(s).

Key activities

Providing targeted strategic support and advice to the national executive across the following areas in the national setting:

  • implementation of Barnardo's corporate strategy
  • engagement with key external stakeholders
  • visiting our services and service users

  • acting as ambassadors generally and on specific matters on request

Identifying opportunities to raise Barnardo's profile and increase its influence among its key stakeholders;

Engaging with the CEO and Trustees in key areas including:

  • key opportunities, risks or challenges requiring top level support;
  • major planned updates to the corporate strategy.

What we're looking for

Passion for the work of the charity, a willingness to commit time and ideally lived experience that is relevant to the charity's activities.

Candidates should be resident in Scotland, be able to demonstrate they work well as part of a team and be able to use skilful questions to build their understanding.

We are looking to add to our existing board with at least one member who is aged between 18-25 and who may be in formal education, in work or training. Role

Do you want to help make a difference to the lives of families affected by another’s imprisonment – this is a group of people, including many children, often marginalised and severely impacted, practically, emotionally and financially by the actions of another. Want to learn new skills in the process? - you can by becoming a volunteer Board Member for the Croft at HMP Barlinnie and help us to lead and guide the Management Team and staff to deliver the ambitions sets out in our 5 year strategy.

What we are looking for

We welcome applicants from any background and experience, including people who have been personally impacted. We welcome all skills but do have particular skills gaps we would love to bring aboard –

  • Communications Experience - to further guide and help us develop work we have already undertaken to improve our communications offering as we grow and diversify our work
  • Commercial business experience (particularly Social Enterprises / Community Interest Companies) – to support the further development of our Social Enterprise ambitions - supporting a more self-sustaining approach to our funding

Good Food Scotland is looking for new Trustees to join the Board as the organisation moves into its next stage.

Across Glasgow we run nine community food shops, employ 19 staff and spend more than £350,000 each year on food for our members. The scale of the work is significant and it reflects the scale of the challenge facing many households across the city.

Most of our shops are based in communities experiencing some of the highest levels of deprivation in Scotland, including areas ranked among the most deprived on the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation. In many of these neighbourhoods access to affordable, healthy food is limited, while wider pressures around housing costs, debt, energy bills and low income continue to shape everyday life for many families.

Food poverty rarely exists on its own. More often it reflects wider poverty and inequality. Our approach starts with food, but it does not stop there.

Food is often the reason someone first walks through the door. After that, the aim is to make sure people can access the wider support that helps them feel more secure, more connected and better able to cope with the pressures they are facing.

Our shops provide access to affordable, nutritious food and they also act as community spaces where people can meet others, find advice and connect with local support. We work alongside partners such as Govan Law Centre, One Parent Families Scotland and energy advice services, while the shops themselves are delivered in partnership with housing associations including Wheatley Group, Linthouse Housing Association, Sanctuary Scotland and Southside Housing Association. Through these partnerships members can access help with issues that often sit behind food poverty in the first place.

Until now the work has been delivered as part of the Feeding Britain network. We are now establishing Good Food Scotland as an independent Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation, while continuing to work closely with Feeding Britain as a partner. This is an important step for the organisation, and it brings an opportunity to strengthen governance and shape how the charity develops over the coming years.

Our ambition is to build a model that is financially sustainable and capable of growing into other communities across Scotland.

About the role

Trustees play an important part in guiding the organisation and making sure it remains well run and focused on the communities it exists to serve. The Board works closely with the leadership team, offering support, challenge and oversight, helping shape the longer term direction of the charity while making sure strong governance and financial responsibility remain in place.

What we are looking for

As the organisation continues to grow we are particularly keen to hear from people who bring experience in one or more of the following areas.

Commercial retail experience, particularly where you understand how multi site operations work in practice and where improvements to systems, stock management or logistics could strengthen how the shops run.

Finance or accounting experience, ideally someone who may be willing to take on the role of Treasurer and help the Board maintain strong financial oversight.

Legal experience, helping ensure the charity meets its responsibilities and operates within the appropriate governance framework.

Previous board experience can be helpful but it is not essential. Practical knowledge, sound judgement and a willingness to contribute are just as important. We would also welcome interest from people whose lived experience reflects the communities we work alongside.

Joining the Board offers the opportunity to contribute to work that is practical, community rooted and focused on long term change.

For those with relevant experience it is also a chance to help shape the organisation as it establishes itself as an independent charity and looks at how the model can grow into other communities.

Time commitment

Trustees attend quarterly board meetings, with occasional input between meetings when needed. Meetings may take place more regularly over the next 12months, with Trustees able to attend in person in Glasgow or online.
