Lanarkshire Rape Crisis Centre (LRCC); established in 2004, is an independent charity with the objective of relieving the distress and improving the welfare of women and girls who, at any time in their lives, have been subjected to any form of sexual violence. LRCC is a member of the Scottish Rape Crisis Alliance; and we work collaboratively with rape crisis centres across Scotland and specialist organisations in this sector as part of the national movement to eradicate male violence against women.
Supporting around 600 survivors every year and engaging with thousands of people in Lanarkshire in achieving our objectives, Lanarkshire Rape Crisis Centre is the lead specialist agency in this field and is highly regarded and trusted by statutory organisations, local third sector partners and most importantly the women and girls we support. As women and girls are overwhelmingly those subjected to all forms of sexual violence and men are overwhelmingly those perpetrating those offences, we operate from a feminist analysis of male violence against women. The role
The post holder provides strategic and operational leadership to Lanarkshire Rape Crisis Centre. The Centre Director is responsible for ensuring the organisation remains women centred, feminist, and survivor led, while delivering sustainable, high quality services for survivors of all forms of sexual violence and abuse.
This role requires confident leadership, sound judgement, and a deep understanding of gender based violence and the third sector in Scotland.

We are looking for a meticulous individual with strong accounting experience, ideally fully qualified. You will be responsible for day-to-day financial administration and data, developing strong financial processes and controls and working with the CEO on business modelling and development. NCM is a registered charity so experience of regulation and financial practice in the charity sector would be highly desirable.
The Finance Manager will have a close relationship with the Finance & Risk Committee – a group of Trustees focused on these key areas – and will attend and report at these meetings. You will also work with an external firm of accountants, who support with payment runs, payroll and accounting advice, and a separate firm of auditors, who will require an annual audit pack including various reconciliations and disclosure notes to support our annual accounts. NCM has also been working with a Finance Consultant who will continue to provide support, strategic guidance and continuity."
Recruitment of New Board Members and Trustees
Fife Law Centre is currently seeking to recruit Board members with various skills, including financial management, Third Sector organisations and their purposes in Fife, and statutory bodies e.g. local government and health.
Fife Law Centre was established in 2009 and is a registered charity, constituted as a company limited by guarantee. It is the product of the vision of local agencies and providers who saw a need for accessible and specialist legal services for clients served by the Third Sector in Fife. These founding agencies are now our partners as we seek to provide for those with unmet legal needs.
We operate as a Board which sustains and supports a private legal firm, Fife Community Law Ltd, which itself is regulated by the Law Society of Scotland.
The purpose of the Board is to set the strategic direction of, and secure the resources for, Fife Law Centre, and to work with the Principal Solicitor to support the delivery of services. Our principal funders are Fife Council and the Scottish Legal Aid Board, under the Making Justice Work Project.
The current focus of legal work is on cases of homelessness, welfare law, supporting victims of domestic violence, employment and immigration. Matters in other fields are dealt with at the discretion of the Principal Solicitor.
The Board meets 5/6 times a year in a formal setting, with Board members taking a lead in different topics, occasionally in work groups.

The Role of Activity Centre Manager:

What you’ll do
You will be responsible for supporting people living with dementia to achieve good outcomes using a range of therapeutic interventions, resources and activities as appropriate. You will also work with the Commissioned Service Lead to complete and maintain high-quality person-centred documentation, assessments and reviews, taking appropriate actions to maintain the safety and wellbeing of those who use the Day Service.
Working as part of the Registered and Commissioned Services team you will have responsibility for ensuring that services are of the highest quality and meet Alzheimer Scotland’s vision for unique therapeutic, highly person-centred support. You will work with the wider team and Commissioned Service Lead to ensure safe practice and delivery of high-quality, person-centred, therapeutic Registered and Commissioned Services, ensuring practice complies with Alzheimer Scotland’s policies. You will contribute to evidencing, reviewing and continually improving the quality of the services and will participate in internal audit and Care Inspectorate inspections.
You will also work with the wider team to evidence that services meet Alzheimer Scotland’s Quality Guarantees, Scotland’s Health and Social Care standards and other quality frameworks including those of the Care Inspectorate where relevant. This includes ensuring that the activities and support offered meet the identified personal outcomes of those attending the services.
You will be based in our Day Services operating from Taigh Shiphoirt, Stornoway which at times, will involve working without supervision in the absence of the Commissioned Service Lead. You will work 9am – 5pm with the usual work pattern of 2 weeks of 2 x 7 hour shift and 2 weeks of 3 x 7 hour shift in the Day Services. Your working days will be set however an element of flexibility will be required at times to ensure the continuous safe delivery of service.
