Rape Crisis Scotland is seeking dedicated feminist leaders, passionate about gender justice and making a difference for survivors of sexual violence to join our Board of Trustees. We are looking for new Trustees, one with the requisite skill, experience and expertise to take on the role of Treasurer.

As part of the Board, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and effective governance of Rape Crisis Scotland, ensuring the organisation remains financially sound, ethical, and sustainable. You will also act as an ambassador for the charity and its mission, as well as contribute to key decisions that impact survivors of sexual violence in Scotland.

This is a voluntary position. The RCS Board of Trustees meets on a quarterly basis, with occasional additional meetings being arranged as necessary. Trustees can expect a time commitment of around 4-5 hours per month on average outwith or in preparation for these meetings.

Lanarkshire Rape Crisis Centre (LRCC); established in 2004, is an independent charity with the objective of relieving the distress and improving the welfare of women and girls who, at any time in their lives, have been subjected to any form of sexual violence. LRCC is a member of the Scottish Rape Crisis Alliance; and we work collaboratively with rape crisis centres across Scotland and specialist organisations in this sector as part of the national movement to eradicate male violence against women.

The overall aim of this post is to provide support and justice advocacy to survivors who are engaged, or considering engaging, with the criminal justice system following an experience of sexual violence.

The STAR Centre is seeking a full-time Prevention and Education Worker (35 hours per week) worker to work in schools across North, South, and East Ayrshire. This work is part of a national programme of prevention running in secondary schools across Scotland (Prevention | Rape Crisis Scotland) and will involve direct work with young people from age 11 – 18 years in schools, as well as some work in youth settings across the region.

Salary: SJC pt 48-51 £34,307 - £35,654 (six-month probationary period for this post)
