This role provides effective HR support to all employees and in the two L’Arche Communities located in Scotland (Edinburgh and Inverness), in line with L’Arche’s identity, mission and values.
As a Human Resources Manager, you will support the Community Leaders and Coordinating Teams, provide advice and guidance to all leaders on best practices in HR matters, and ensure that the two Communities meet all of their regulatory obligations with regard to the employee life cycle.
You will ensure the implementation of employment legislation and compliance with Safer Recruitment, national policies and initiatives, and SSSC requirements.
This role will supervise two training coordinators and have dotted line management of HR admin.

We are looking for a qualified assessor to support SVQ assessment across the organisation.
We are approved by the SQA to deliver SVQs in Social Services (Children & Young People). To enable assessment in this award you should have a relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 7 or above along with your assessor award.
Your experience should include working in a relevant care setting, assessment of at least 4 candidates through to completion of their SVQ’s. You must be able to demonstrate that you have experience of planning, preparation, delivery and evaluation of learning activities in a social care setting.
The post is 37.5hrs per week and will require travel across Scotland. Your work base can be flexible, we are able to support a mix of office and home working as required.

Through your work in a relevant care setting you will have extensive experience of dealing with child and adult safeguarding concerns. You will also have supported others to respond to safeguarding issues.
You will use this knowledge to review, update and deliver safeguarding training to staff across the organisation either face-to-face or virtually as required.
You may already have delivered training within teams or may be keen to explore training as a new opportunity.
This is a 30-hour post and can be worked over 4 or 5 days. Aberlour has services across Scotland so travel will be required. You will be able to work from a local office or from home and will be expected to travel as required to deliver training sessions.

To work within Crew’s Counselling Team providing trauma-informed drug counselling and a range of psychosocial interventions to support people wishing to address their consumption of psychostimulant drugs and other substances. To reduce harm and the incidence of physical and mental health problems associated with the consumption of psychostimulant drugs. Some counselling may be by telephone or the NHS Attend Anywhere secure platform.

The Alcohol Counsellor will report to the Service Manager - Counselling.

THE OPPORTUNITY
The Baird Trust (& 3 other grant giving charities *) is seeking a skilled and committed accountant. This is an important role, overseeing the charities financial operations and ensuring strong financial stewardship. Purpose of the role
To oversee and manage all aspects of financial operations for The Baird Trust and three other charities, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations and managing the financial operations of the organisations. The role includes bookkeeping, financial reporting, budgeting and statutory accounts. Act as Secretary of the four trusts.

ABOUT YOU
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (CA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent experience) with strong charity finance experience including management accounts and statutory reporting. Familiarity with Charity SORP and regulations for non-profits and excellent working knowledge of SAGE accounting software.
Proficient in excel. Excellent attention to detail. Able to communicate financial information clearly.
Knowledge of property management.
