Part-time Finance Officer

Culture Perth and Kinross is a creative, customer focused charitable trust delivering Libraries, Museums, Galleries, Archives and Local and Family History Services across the Perth and Kinross region.

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to join our small Finance and Resources Team during an exciting and transformational period as we move to open a new Museum in the City in 2024. The role will provide efficient financial management support to the organisation and assist the Head of Finance and Resources, deputising for them as required. The post holder will also support the Head of Finance and Resources by ensuring accurate recording and reporting of all financial transactions including but not limited to maintaining financial records, ensuring financial procedures are followed, producing financial reports, and assisting to identify and implement improvements to ensure financial systems operate efficiently and effectively.

The successful candidate will have excellent administrative skills and will have a track record in similar roles. They will have an eye for detail and hold a relevant accounting qualification.

We are looking for a part-time Heritage Pathways Co-ordinator to support the development of the Heritage and Culture Pathway. This includes the development and ongoing management of the CPK Young Person’s Collective.

The role will develop and deliver career and heritage events, oversee work placement opportunities, and work with colleagues to identify future employability needs and opportunities for young people across the organisation.

The post will include some evening and off-site work.

You will be a skilled communicator and qualified accountant (ACCA, ACMA or ACA or equivalent) with experience of the charitable sector and excellent technical accounting skills to support all aspects of the service. It is desirable that you also have some experience of public sector finance.

We are seeking to appoint a skilled communicator with a track record of managing and building excellent customer and donor relationships to help us achieve our fundraising targets.

You will be passionate about the arts, culture and heritage sector and able to inspire passion and advocacy in others. You’ll also be engaging, confident, able to present well in-person and online, have exemplary administrative skills and be willing to always go the extra mile for our customers and supporters. Experience of working with CRM systems or in a cultural fundraising context is desirable but not essential.
