RASASH is looking for a new Fundraising and Communications Worker to join our team.

Are you an experienced fundraiser, looking to make a real difference? Do you understand the value of great storytelling and enjoy connecting with people? Are you passionate about gender equality and ending sexual violence?

We have an amazing opportunity to join our team and play a key role in delivering vital services to survivors of sexual violence in Highland.

You will be responsible for raising money from a variety of revenue streams, with a particular focus on corporate and community fundraising. You will also help RASASH to deliver engaging communications to a wide range of audiences.

This is an exciting time to join RASASH as we further develop our service. The post is also new to RASASH, which provides an exciting opportunity to develop the role and its direction.

The Fundraising & Communications Worker has been created to raise the profile of RASASH and increase funding so that we can continue to deliver vital services to those affected by sexual violence in Highland.

The post-holder will seek to raise funds by coordinating events and engaging with local business and individual donors (approximately 70% of the worker’s time).

The worker will also run RASASH’s social media and website, developing content to support our organisational aims and values (approximately 30% of the role).

Access & Inclusion Support Worker

The Access & Inclusion Support Worker was created to

1) increase access to support for survivors of sexual violence in Highland and

2) ensure RASASH’s services are as inclusive as possible.

The post-holder will work on an outreach basis, travelling across Highland to provide in-person emotional support to survivors living in remote and rural communities.

The worker will also conduct community engagement, particularly with marginalised groups, to increase awareness of our services and better understand how RASASH can meet their needs.

The worker will take a strengths-based approach, harnessing the expertise and skills of groups/individuals, and actively involving them in making improvements to our service, including the development of support resources and materials.

The Rape and Sexual Abuse Service Highland (RASASH) are seeking 2 x Advocacy Workers to join our existing team (28 hrs/21 hrs per week). The Advocacy Workers will enable RASASH to continue providing high quality, person centred advocacy services across Highland. You will join an enthusiastic team of experienced Advocacy Workers and will report to the Team Leader.

RASASH is a feminist, survivor-led organisation. This means that we are accountable, first and foremost, to survivors and our work is underpinned by a feminist analysis of sexual violence. As an Advocacy Worker, you will work alongside service-users to represent their rights, choices, and interests. You will have a strong belief in empowerment and inclusion and be passionate about ensuring survivors have access to the services they need.

Our office is based in Inverness, but hybrid working arrangements are currently in place.

Outreach Support Worker

Rape and Sexual Abuse Service Highland (RASASH) is a charitable organisation based in Inverness and affiliated to Rape Crisis Scotland. Our charity provides emotional and practical support for anyone aged 13+ living in Highland who has been affected by sexual violence. We also aim to increase awareness and end sexual violence through campaigns, training, and educational workshops.

The Outreach Support Worker will be part of a small team, travelling across the Highlands to meet survivors and provide in-person emotional support. Our Outreach service is crucial to remove barriers for survivors, providing support in rural hard-to-reach areas and at times that work for our service-users.

We are looking for a candidate with a feminist understanding of sexual violence and experience providing emotional support to survivors of sexual violence and/or individuals with complex support needs. The successful candidate will be required to undertake extensive travel, with frequent overnight stays. A UK driving licence and access to a car is therefore essential.

RASASH is committed to diversity and flexible working and will consider a range of options for the successful candidate. Formal higher education is not a requirement for this role.

Main duties:

Direct support work

• Deliver face to face support throughout Highland for survivors of sexual violence or abuse, aged 13+, including those who have complex needs.

• Provide email, telephone and digital support for survivors aged 13+.

• To record all information pertaining to RASASH’s support services accurately and appropriately in line with RASASH's support service information recording and Data Protection systems.

• To act on any child protection or safeguarding concerns according to RASASH policies and procedures

Service Development / Multi-Agency Working

• Increase awareness of the service in local communities and with agencies

• Engage in and promote multi-agency and partnership working if required

Other

• Flexibility in working hours, including some evenings

• Able to travel extensively across Highland including regular overnight stays

• Able to drive and have access to own vehicle due to travel requirements of the role

• Any other duties as required

RASASH is a feminist, survivor focused organisation a SCIO (SCO45019) set up in 2014, based in Inverness. Affiliated to Rape Crisis Scotland. RASASH provides support, information, and advocacy for anyone, aged 13 or over, who lives in the Highland Council area and who has experienced sexual violence or abuse.
