CREATE Paisley (CREATE) is an innovative youth arts charity aiming to reduce loneliness and inequality and support young people to have hope for the future. We do this through providing safe, creative spaces and opportunities for young people in which they can thrive and build positive relationships and gain support from trusted adults.
CREATE runs drop ins, arts workshops, youth voice & participation activities etc., amongst other projects, in partnership with a wide variety of groups across Renfrewshire, and is supported and run by a dedicated team of staff and volunteers.
CREATE has ambitious plans to grow the organisation in line with our vision and local young people’s needs and interests. In order to reach these goals, CREATE is looking to develop and grow our income and improve our reach.
CREATE are looking for an individual with a proven background and experience of trust fundraising, success with multiple five figure funding bids and a knowledge of statutory and national lottery funding. The first year of this role is supported by Renfrewshire Council’s Cultural Organisations Development Fund (CODF).
The trust fundraiser will:
1. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of CREATE’s current and future activities
2. Develop a targeted trust pipeline to secure unrestricted and restricted income
3. Write high quality and compelling funding bids, proposal and cases for support
4. Develop new and existing relationships with funders
5. Produce updates and impact reports

CREATE Paisley is looking to appoint a Youth Development Worker to lead on and develop the charity’s approach to and delivery of youth work activities in Paisley.
The Youth Development Worker will:
1. Facilitate current and new youth work provision
2. Support the organisation to respond to young people’s voices
3. Manage youth work projects and budgets
4. Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation within all youth work activities
5. Support the recruitment and training of new staff and volunteers

CREATE Paisley is looking to appoint a Volunteer Coordinator to lead on and develop the charity’s approach to volunteering for young people and adults, supporting enhanced services to better meet the needs of the communities we serve.
The Volunteer Cordinator will:
1. Lead the organisation’s approach to volunteering
2. Manage volunteer journeys from initial enquiry to induction
3. Develop and implement support, training and progression opportunities for volunteers

CREATE began in response to local young people looking for a safe, inspiring space. At the time, there were so many capable, creative young people. Initially forming as a partnership between local churches and youth leaders, a monthly open-mic night was set up. In 2012, CREATE was constituted as a charity and increased the offering to include regular arts workshops, youth mentoring, a youth forum and fortnightly drop-ins. Through a mix of programmes, young people are supported to develop skills, support networks and strength to succeed and fulfil their ambitions. CREATE now runs programme across 6 locations in Renfrewshire.
Due to an exciting period of growth and access to new funding, the opportunity has arisen for a new Youth Work Manager to join the incredible Create Paisley team. Managing a team of six, the Youth Work Manager will support and equip the team to grow and develop high-quality creative youth work provision throughout Renfrewshire, overseeing the delivery and development of programmes in response to young people’s ideas.
The right candidate for the role will be a people person, with excellent communication and storytelling abilities. You will be a creative thinker, a good listener and able to adapt and develop continuously. The new Youth Work Manager will have the ability to replicate the charity model across a variety of communities in order to support as many young people as possible. You must be able to deliver a strong performance management culture, designing, developing and delivering a diverse range of activities and support programmes for young people including those with challenging behaviour and of varied abilities.
A minimum of five years’ experience working with young people within a community youth work setting is essential for the role. Create Paisley are also looking for somebody who has three years of experience managing staff and volunteers. In addition to this, Youth Work Manager must either possess a CLD certificate or have extensive experience working with young people. The post entails working with vulnerable people.

The Volunteer Development Worker will lead and develop the charity’s approach to volunteering for young people and adults. Day to day, this will involve supporting a fantastic team of around 15 current volunteers and recruitment of new volunteers, providing opportunities for them to use their skills, develop new ones and gain experience.
The Volunteer Development Worker will be a dynamic and confident people person, with fantastic writing abilities. Previous experience working in the third sector and in managing volunteers is essential for this role. The Volunteer Development Worker will be able to sensitively train and support volunteers throughout their journey with Create Paisley, as well as being able to find and onboard new volunteers as the charity continues to expand. Experience working with Google Drive would be advantageous, as well as partnership working and recruitment experience. CREATE is recruiting a highly motivated, innovative youth work professional to the role of Youth Work Manager. The role will work with the Executive Director, Senior Leadership Team (SLT), Youth Development Workers and existing staff and volunteers to grow and develop Youth Work provision throughout Renfrewshire.
The Youth Work Manager will:
1. Lead CREATE’s approach to understanding and responding to young people’s needs and voices
2. Oversee delivery and development of high quality youth work practice and programmes
3. Lead, manage and develop CREATE’s youth work team
4. Manage monitoring and evaluation of all youth work activities
The Fundraising & Marketing Manager will be a key member of the management team and will play a significant role in developing and delivering the fundraising strategy for the organisation, implementing new initiatives, enhancing CREATE’s reach and supporting sustainability.
