Regenfx Youth Trust have established the first ever visible Youth Recovery Service in South Lanarkshire. We work with 13 – 25yr olds who are affected by problematic alcohol & substance use. The service is known as The GIVIT.

We use a blend of Youth Work, rapid access to CBT Counsellors backed up with a fully supported Recovery Model to help young people consider their own personal recovery needs.

Due to the exceptional high demand for the service and The GIVIT exceeding their targets in the first year by 92%, we are expanding our skilled staff team to include an Early Interventions Navigator specifically for young people 12 – 16yrs who are at the beginning of escalating their alcohol and substance use.

The Early Interventions Navigator will provide 1 to 1 support and groupwork for the young people participating in the service. You will be given full training and excellent support from your colleagues including the opportunity to shadow in the first instance. You must be able to build solid relationships with young people based on trust, mutual respect, care and compassion. You will need to be a natural motivator who can work with a small caseload effectively.

This is a 7-day a week service that includes some evening & weekends. All work is done in person we have no working from home arrangements.

We are particularly interested in people with experience in Youth Work and or the Recovery Field, but most importantly, people who are driven, genuinely interested in young people and who would welcome a challenge like no other supported by a very skilled staff team.

Experience of working with young people, providing diversionary activities, and successfully engaging them in services is desirable. A good knowledge of problematic alcohol and drug use and or experience in the Recovery Field is desirable.

Youth Worker (GoTo)

GoTo Mental Health Service for 14 – 21yr olds is based in South Lanarkshire was established in 2019. We are an early intervention service for young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health issues.

This is a partnership between Regenfx Youth Trust and Liber8 Lanarkshire. We have a small staff team that includes the Project Co-ordinator & CBT Counsellor.

GoTo uses a unique blend of Youth Work, rapid access to Counselling and CBT Interventions to prevent the escalation of poor mental health in young people. Our programme is flexible to meet the needs of our young people in time, spaces and places that suit them. Some evenings and occasional weekend working would be expected. All work is done in person, and we have no working from home arrangements.

Although we have one year funding left, we will use our evidence-based evaluations to approach other funders to extend the life of the project.

We need someone with a Youth Work background and sound knowledge of mental health issues that affect young people today.

As the Youth Worker, you will hold a caseload providing 1 to 1 support for participants and deliver appropriate groupwork sessions that encourage engagement with peers that will help reduce isolation.

Your responsibilities will also include recruiting and supporting volunteers on to our Youth Advisory Panel and creating opportunities for co-production of services.

The successful applicant will have a proven track record in working with young people. For this post you will be employed by Regenfx Youth Trust.

We need a highly experienced CBT COUNSELLOR to provide specialist counselling and group work to individuals, who may have experienced substance use, trauma PTSD, debilitating anxiety, and other complex presentations. You would be expected to deliver evidence-based techniques, recommended by NICE/SIGN as, effective approaches in healing, mental health issues, dissociative disorders, grief, addictions, and the effects of abuse; aimed at the treatment and resolution of the presenting issue and associated trauma. Following the NICE guidance, the therapist would undertake and develop, screening; full baseline, strength-based assessment, and treatment plans.

Regenfx Youth Trust are recruiting for a variety of different posts to expand the staff team. We are looking for two Project Leaders for our award-winning Street Projects, one for the Junior Street (11 – 13yr olds) and one for the Senior Street (14 – 21yr olds). Both Projects deliver a similar programme involving a unique consequential learning programme. The Street uses a blend of youth work and performance arts to support young people achieve positive outcomes for themselves.

You will be joining a skilled, motivated, and supportive team who are committed to helping young people become the best versions of themselves. Your responsibilities will include leading on all aspects of the project including driving forward new developments, providing groupwork and 1:1 support for young people. You will be assisted by a Drama Worker and report to the Service Co-ordinator.
