Are you a warm, caring counsellor who is passionate about supporting people? If so, we want to hear from you! We are currently seeking part-time Couple Counsellors to join our multi-skilled team, who hold a recognised Diploma in Couple Counselling which has included clinical practice and be a registered member of a Professional Governing Body (i.e., BACP / COSCA). The ability to establish and maintain effective relationships, have excellent communication skills and a commitment to supporting positive outcomes for families and individuals is essential.

Your role will also include representing Avenue at local events and forums, giving you the opportunity to take our message directly to where it needs to be heard.

Avenue is a charity, based in the North East of Scotland, that provides a range of services to families, children and individuals. We help families and individuals to overcome obstacles to wellbeing and find ways forward through the challenges that life can bring.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Trust and Grants Fundraiser. You will research, identify and apply to trusts, foundations and other grant-making bodies with timely, well-written and compelling proposals. Your focus will be on helping Avenue to raise core and restricted income to ensure the sustainability and accessibility of our services.

Applicants should have proven experience of successful Trust and Grants Fundraising, the ability to work to agreed timescales and managing own workload and establish and maintain effective relationships both internally and externally. You must also be able to demonstrate ability to tell a compelling story whilst having a high level of research skills. Excellent numeracy and literacy skills and an ability to lay out clear and concise applications is essential.

Family Support Workers

We recognise that families come in all different shapes and sizes and we work with parents, children, siblings, grandparents and all other important people in children’s lives.

We have a number of exciting opportunities to work within our Child Contact Centre team, providing child-focused holistic support for families to help them to break down barriers to family progression and wellbeing.

We are looking for workers with a range of skills and experience. You might have experience of working with children and/or families, or maybe you have counselling/mediation experience, or perhaps you have devised and delivered group learning activities in previous roles.

All successful applicants will share a commitment to the rights of children and families, and to the provision of positive asset-based interventions. A full package of training and support will be offered.

Location: There are posts available in Aberdeen, Peterhead or Elgin.

Hours: Aberdeen - 18 p/w, Peterhead – 15 p/w, Elgin – 10 p/w (will include weekend working on a rota basis)
