Do you have lived experience of a spinal cord injury and are passionate about supporting others?
Spinal Injuries Scotland is looking for a Peer Support Advisor to join our team based in the Queen Elizabeth National Spinal Injuries Unit, Glasgow, to support patients, their families, and friends to help come to terms with a spinal cord injury.
You will build and maintain professional relationships with patients, families, NHS staff and partner organisations, delivering person-centred peer support and provide insight into the process of recovery through sharing of experience in a positive way.
This will be a permanent appointment to a varied role where you will be a key member of a small team supported by a backroom office of professionals. You will be the face of Spinal Injuries Scotland, helping people at a time of real need, with scope to make a lasting positive difference to their lives
Join Our Team as an Outreach Development Officer
Are you passionate about supporting people with a spinal cord injury across Scotland? Do you have the confidence, coordination skills, and compassion to lead a small team and build meaningful connections?
Spinal Injuries Scotland is looking for a dynamic and proactive Outreach Development Officer to lead and coordinate our national peer support service. You’ll be responsible for overseeing our peer support team, developing networks across health and third sector services, and ensuring that people living with a spinal cord injury receive timely, relevant, and compassionate support.
You’ll also help deliver our Smart Tech programme, support data reporting for funders and internal use, and play a key role in shaping how we reach and support underrepresented areas across the country. This is a fast-paced, varied role with real scope to make a lasting difference.
