We are an independent organisation, providing free and confidential advice, information, support and advocacy on a wide range of issues for people in Broomhouse, North Sighthill and the surrounding areas. We also see people from outwith these areas.
The Community One Stop Shop is a well-established and reputable charitable organization dedicated to supporting and improving the lives of individuals and communities in the Broomhouse and South West area of Edinburgh. Our mission is to alleviate the effects of poverty, foster social inclusion, promote empowerment, and enhance the overall well-being of marginalized and disadvantaged individuals. We strive to create sustainable solutions and drive positive change through community development initiatives.
We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Community Development Worker to join our dynamic team. As a Community Development Worker, you will play a crucial role in implementing and overseeing community-based projects, collaborating with local stakeholders, and developing our existing services and being instrumental in creating new initiatives. You will work closely with our project leads to support them and develop our existing services.

The Community One Stop Shop is a local independent charity in the South West of Edinburgh and has been serving the clients of Broomhouse for almost 20 years. We deliver various service including advice provision, employability support, non-referral foodbank, community pantry and various outreach support services.
Purpose of job
To deliver information and advice service to our clients. Subject matters for information and advice include benefits, PIP applications, appeals, housing and various other levels of support.
