The role:
Our Corporate Performance team plays a pivotal role in advising, ensuring compliance, and supporting the overall health of the National Park as a corporate entity. Encompassing regulatory compliance, policy development, programme and project oversight, information management, Board and committee governance, risk management, data analysis and stakeholder engagement.
There is a rare opportunity for an Information Manager to join a small, dedicated team working with colleagues across the organisation, with responsibility for data protection policies, overseeing our complaints processes, managing our records effectively and handling external information requests.
This role will suit candidates with a background in information management with wide experience of Freedom of Information requests, the role of data protection, records management in the digital environment and dealing with requests from members of the public in a professional and empathetic manner.

You will lead on planning, developing, and delivering a strategic approach to digital communications for Loch Lomond & the Trossachs National Park, developing an audience led digital content strategy and overseeing the delivery of impactful and creative communications outputs that support the priorities of the National Park Authority.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced ICT Infrastructure Engineer to join our small, dedicated team providing ICT support services for Loch Lomond & the Trossachs National Park. This is a rare opportunity to join a fast paced and high performing organisation at a truly exciting time for the Information Services team as we expand our use of Microsoft 365, look towards full Cloud adoption and being planning on our new Digital Strategy.
An experienced professional, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, you will have a proven track record in supporting, developing, and securing networking equipment (such as Routers, switches, Wi-Fi, and Firewalls), a Microsoft server environment and M365.
As someone who has a background in both Microsoft 365 and on-premises technologies who has worked in a similar environment, you will understand how to organise and prioritise a varied workload to meet deadlines all while being confident, credible, proactive, and creative when driving quality improvement and good practice.

We are seeking to bring on board an exceptional Trust Director who will spearhead our strategy, inspire our staff and lead the Countryside Trust to reach its full potential.
You will be working with a talented team of experienced staff and an exceptional Board who are passionate about making a difference. People are at the heart of everything we do, and as Trust Director you will have the opportunity to impact on people living in the area and to take us further in our aim of conserving and improving the landscape and ecology of the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park.
The Trust Director will work with and be accountable to a skilled and active Board of Trustees, being responsible for all aspects of the strategy, planning, resourcing, operational performance, communications, and governance of the Trust.

Location
The Trust’s work base is in Balloch. We share premises with the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park Authority, allowing for easy collaboration with a close partner organisation. The Trust Director will travel regularly to represent the Trust across our beneficiary areas and throughout Scotland and they will be expected to be present for significant periods of time at the Balloch office. Hybrid working will be considered.
We will welcome applications from people looking for either part time/job share arrangements or in taking the post for a minimum of two years as a secondment.

About the Role
The Chief Executive will be accountable to the Board and responsible for all aspects of the strategy, planning, resourcing, operational performance, communications and governance of the Trust. The post holder will:
• Provide visible, inspiring and effective senior leadership, direction and oversight to the Trust and its staff in achieving the organisation’s vision and mission.
• Ensure the strategic direction of the organisation is fully aligned and embedded across the organisation in order to have the greatest impact.
• Ensure the financial security of the organisation, with a focus on increasing the number of sustainable income streams and identifying potential opportunities.
• Maintain and enhance the reputation and role of the Trust, working collaboratively with partners and engaging effectively with communities.
Strategy and Governance
• Provide an aspirational vision backed by inspirational direction and leadership in order to achieve the strategic goals and objectives of the Trust as agreed with the Board.
• Be responsible for achieving, monitoring and reporting on performance.
• Ensure that the overall strategy is translated into a meaningful and ambitious business and operational plan and that staff are supported to deliver it.
• Work collaboratively with the Chair whilst leveraging the experiences of a diverse Board in order to achieve the Trust’s mission.
• Ensure that the Trustees are enabled to fulfil their governance duties in line with Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) guidelines.
• Engender an open, inclusive, supportive and transparent culture across all teams and areas of work.
• Contribute to the development of policy affecting the Trust’s objectives through active involvement in relevant UK-wide, national, regional and local initiatives.
• Develop a culture of continuous improvement in all aspects of the Trust’s work.
• Ensure all necessary processes and systems are in place to fully manage and mitigate all risks.
• Lead the overall fundraising vison and strategy to allow for the future development of the Trust and the achievement of its aims.
Financial Stability
• Manage the Trust’s resources and ensure they are used effectively and efficiently, enabling the greatest impact.
• Oversee the Trust’s budget, expenditure and management accounts ensuring income and expenditure is in line with strategic objectives.
• Lead the development of annual and longer-term financial plans.
• Actively seek out and develop new income streams to ensure the Trust’s ongoing viability.
• Build strong relationships with a range of partners and potential funders and oversee the shaping of major bids, identifying and cultivating fundraising opportunities with high value donors.
• Work closely with the team to ensure all expenditure is well planned and monitored to deliver maximum impact.
• Ensure effective internal controls and management information systems are in place.
Relationship Management
• Superb spokesperson and highly successful ambassador for the Trust, bringing credibility and professional gravitas whilst promoting and representing the organisation.
• Continue to foster strong relationships with Trust members and partner organisations including the National Park Authority, Scottish Forestry, NatureScot and the communities of the National Park.
• Engage effectively with local and community place planning in furtherance of the Trust’s aims.
• Actively maintain strong relations and build superb networks with all relevant stakeholders, the wider community, the bio diversity and scientific community, industry bodies, health and social care partnerships, corporates, government, major donors, supporters, volunteers and the public.
• Attend fundraising activities and events as required, building appropriate relationships for the benefit of the Trust.
• Promote and maintain productive external relationships with the media as appropriate.
Workforce Development
• Bring leadership, direction and support to the whole organisation, ensuring all staff feel valued and supported and fully understand how their role impacts the overall strategy.
• Ensure strong performance management processes are in place, linking the performance management of staff to the strategic direction of the organisation.
• Develop the organisation so that it has the necessary capacities and capabilities to deliver the agreed business and operational plans.
• Lead with drive and vigour, supporting the team to excellence and aiming to get the best from everyone through an engaging and supportive, coaching style of leadership.

The Trust would like to appoint an outstanding individual to help them take forward their ambitious plans. It is a demanding role that will require a broad skill set including people and financial management, the ability to engage effectively with communities and exceptional relationship-building skills. Candidates are likely to have a background in environmental and/or green health project development, strong commercial acumen, good understanding of the relevant sectors and evidence of previous success in developing and delivering medium-large scale projects. A track record in income generation, marketing and fundraising would be desirable.
The post holder will be required to explore and develop the potential for new initiatives both within and beyond existing projects. They will contribute significantly to strategic discussions and work closely with the Trustees.
