Renfrewshire Citizens Advice Bureau is an independent charity providing free, confidential, impartial and independent advice and support to people across Renfrewshire. We provide a holistic advice service, helping people understand their rights, maximise their income and find a way forward with the issues affecting their lives.
Working alongside Home-Start and Save the Children UK, you will provide holistic advice and support to families with babies and children under five who are experiencing poverty or financial hardship. You will help families maximise their income, access benefits and services, address financial challenges and deal with the wider issues affecting their household.
The role will involve working intensively with a smaller number of families, allowing you to provide ongoing, wraparound support tailored to each family’s individual circumstances and help them build greater financial stability and wellbeing.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of children and families across Renfrewshire while working as part of an innovative, multi-agency partnership.
We are looking for someone with experience of providing advice on welfare rights, housing and money advice issues, with excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to manage ongoing casework. You should be approachable, compassionate and committed to providing a high-quality service to clients.
