We are looking for an Early Years Officer to join our team to support the development and facilitation of our programme of activities in line with our health improvement work.
Purpose of the Job
To work as part of our expanding team to plan, design and deliver support sessions for new and expectant parents in line with our health improvement initiatives. These include (but are not limited to) breastfeeding support, baby massage, baby wearing, baby sensory, bookbugs and weaning.
As the role will involve liaising with partners, referral organisations and families it is essential that the successful candidate can communicate at all levels and has a working knowledge of West Lothian.
The position will be split between Kidz n Kin Community Space at The Centre, Livingston and Kidz-eco Bathgate; therefore it is preferential that the post holder has their own transport. The appointed applicant will also be required to become a member of the PVG scheme.

We are looking for a Perinatal Peer Support Worker to support the development and facilitation of our new and exciting Bumpz to Babiez perinatal café, to support the wellbeing of parents and children aged 0-2 years.
Purpose of the Job
Working in partnership with health professionals and other 3rd sector organisations, the role is responsible for working alongside new and expectant parents, setting up informal peer support networks and to provide advice and signposting in areas including, but not limited to, housing; benefits; food poverty, GPs and healthcare; parenting support and community group access.
The Perinatal Peer Support Worker will be able to provide a basic level of advice themselves but will predominantly act as the referring agent for clients to external advice and support agencies.

Purpose of the Job
Our Next Stepz Programme will help build a community of confident, motivated and inspired young people with a drive to search for and attain and sustain a working life, positively engaging with their community.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven individual to directly support young people with barriers to employment to make progress towards employment, further education or training through volunteering.
The successful candidate will provide one-to-one support to the young person and work together to develop an individual learning plan and develop skills in their chosen area: retail, warehouse, early years, community or food and health. The Employability Officer will work closely with our Shop Managers and other key staff who will provide on-the-job training and practical work experience.
A good working knowledge of the local employability landscape will be required and the post holder will be responsible for developing positive relationships with those they are supporting, but also fellow employability partners, and other third sector organisations and businesses.

As much of the role will involve liaising with partners, referral organisations and members of the public it is essential that the successful candidate can communicate at all levels and has a working knowledge of West Lothian.
Although the position will be primarily based in our Kidz n Kin Community Space at The Centre, Livingston we require the post holder to have their own transport as there will be a requirement to work throughout West Lothian.
