Clackmannanshire Third Sector Interface (CTSI) is a ‘single door’ access point for a wide range of support and services for charitable organisations, community and voluntary action groups, volunteering and social enterprise in Clackmannanshire. It is part of the TSI Scotland Network, funded by Scottish Government to deliver four key functions: building capacity of sector; provide voice of the sector; be a source of knowledge for members; and connecting partners.
This new role will be part of a small team focused on our membership and will support the work of the Team Leader: Membership & Governance. The role will particularly focus on the business functions of third sector organisations – business planning, cashflow forecasting, marketing, risk management, funding and diversifying income streams. There will be a particular focus on our social enterprise community – helping them succeed in challenging times and be supported through the Forth Valley Social Enterprise Network (FVSEN). The role will link closely with intermediaries, OSCR, Social Enterprise Scotland as well as our local Business Gateway and Chamber of Commerce to provide information, knowledge on changes and other relevant guidelines and funding opportunities.
The role will work closely with the Membership and Events Development Officer and across the wider CTSI team.

This role will lead a small team and have a particular focus on ensuring our members are compliant in all areas of their business operation. This includes charity law and governance procedures as well as funding but also includes providing advice or liaising with expert help, where relevant with managing staff, data compliance, meeting sustainability targets and health and safety. The role will support and lead on training for members, link closely with intermediaries, OSCR, Social Enterprise Scotland and other relevant national bodies to provide information, knowledge on changes and other relevant guidelines and funding opportunities.
The role will manage a small team which will include a Business and Enterprise Development Officer with responsibility for helping with business planning, funding and supporting the Forth Valley Social Enterprise Network and a Membership and Events Development Officer.
The Scottish Government is promoting social prescribing as a way of reducing or mitigating health inequalities, with a pledge to roll out 250 link workers nationally in the next few years. Social prescribing links people attending GP or other primary care services with local, often non-clinical, community resources.
Clackmannanshire and Stirling Health and Social Care Partnership (CSHSCP) has committed to the roll-out of the Community Link worker programme in the Partnership area and are now recruiting two Lead Community Links Workers (CLWs) who will have line management responsibilities for CLWs in Clackmannanshire and Stirling.
CLWs are fully integrated in day-to-day work of GP Practice staff to inform and provide community connections to service users and are supported by CTSI/ SVE. They help people to access the wide range of local support provided by Third Sector organisations, helping them to reconnect and understand how they can improve and sustain their own health and wellbeing.
The Lead CLWs will each manage one of the Partnership areas in either Clackmannanshire or Stirling urban/ rural and be based in a GP practice themselves, acting as a CLW. They will provide leadership and day-to-day management and supervision to a growing team of CLWs and manage a caseload of clients within their GP practice. They will also be responsible for ensuring that information/ recording systems are kept up-to-date to support project development and raise awareness of local issues and that GDPR is implemented.
They will build strong relationships with partners and have a key role in promoting the benefits of the service to clinicians and the public.

Clackmannanshire Third Sector Interface on Behalf of Clackmannanshire Credit Union
This exciting new position, funded by Clackmannanshire Credit Union with funds awarded from the Scottish Ethical Lenders Fund. The role will be for the post holder will be employed by Clackmannanshire Third Sector Interface on behalf of Clackmannanshire Credit Union, to support, enhance and secure the current work of Clackmannanshire Credit Union.

Main purpose of the job
The aim of the role is to support, enhance and secure the current work of Clackmannanshire Credit Union (CCU) to identify new business and community members. Working closely with other third sector organisations and local employers, the role will aim to build relationships and the reputation of the Credit Union; build stronger relationships with current and new members and enhance and increase the income of CCU through affordable loans.
MAIN DUTIES
• Increase Credit Union membership offering financial management support through regular savings and affordable loans
• Develop business and marketing plans
• Identify and pursue other goals to develop and safeguard the future of the Credit Union
• Increase engagement with new and current members
• Liaise with local businesses to promote payroll deduction scheme
Location: Under current guidance the post holder will be home based until office working is permitted. The post will be based in the offices of Clackmannanshire Third Sector Interface (CTSI) in Alloa - however, the post holder will be required to work throughout Clackmannanshire
This role will involve geographically working across Clackmannanshire on a regular basis – access to personal transport would be beneficial.
Clackmannanshire Third Sector Interface (CTSI) is seeking a committed volunteer Treasurer to join the Board of Trustees to support its important work to promote volunteering; the governance and operational support and activities of its third sector members, and development of social enterprises in the Clackmannanshire area.
The Board is seeking a professional in the area of finance, business or accounting who would have the skills to help report on the financial position of the charity and provide valuable advice in terms of risk and on business planning and enterprise developments going forward.
Clackmannanshire Third Sector Interface (CTSI)
CTSI was set up in 2011 and is funded by Scottish Government to support the third sector locally. The charity has some key national objectives set out by Scottish Government which were reviewed and now include clear direction that TSI’s play a more significant role as 'agents of change' within local authority areas in the future. CTSI currently has ten employees and is based in Alloa town centre. It supports hundreds of charities, voluntary groups and social enterprises in the county and across Forth Valley.
The role of Treasurer is one that will be rewarding, interesting and varied for anyone keen to support the wider third sector in the local community and benefit Clackmannanshire and its residents.
Currently the Board of Trustees meet four times a year, normally for no more than two hours, during working hours. There is also an AGM once a year. The Treasurer is not responsible for the accounts administration or independent examining - the role is one of review and reporting on the accounts, working with the Chief Officer and Finance Officer to provide advice and a thorough understanding of the financial position of the charity to the Board of Trustees and ensuring the security of the charity long term.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The Treasurer can be either from a member organisation or be a co-opted member in position for up to three years, with a one year extension if required. If the person is a representative of a local third sector organisation and as such, a member of CTSI, then they can hold the position for up to six years in total. It is not required that the person is living in Clackmannanshire but it is hoped they have a genuine desire to help its communities and third sector activities. Expenses can be provided if required.
