Work Place Chaplaincy Scotland Profile: Work Place Chaplaincy Scotland is a charity that has been providing spiritual and pastoral care within workplaces in Scotland for the last ten years. With a team of 100 volunteers and six staff chaplains WPCS provide chaplaincy support over 75,000 people in 2,500 workplaces. Our aim is to promote the wellbeing of people at work – and through spiritual care to help people of all faiths and none to flourish and thrive. Our chaplains support people in a wide range of industry areas including: care homes, emergency services, airports, travel, retail, the royal mail and professional services. We are guests within the places we serve – independent and impartial we engage with everyone from the shop floor to the boardroom, listening and compassionately maintaining confidences. Recently we have started a ‘Veterans Chaplaincy Scotland’ initiative – to develop a ‘civilian’ chaplaincy service for those who have served in the armed services, providing continuation of chaplaincy support from the services into civilian life.
