An exciting new opportunity to join the team at Home-Start East Lothian based in Tranent has become available.

Do you have a passion to support children and their parents to ensure that children have the best start in life? Do you have the experience and qualifications to work with children?

We are looking for someone who can support families in their own homes and through some group work in community settings.

Evening and occasional part-time weekend work may be required. Car ownership is essential, as is a PVG check.

An exciting opportunity has risen to join the Home-Start East Lothian Team to deliver the Thrive Early programme in partnership with Citizen’s Advice and Save the Children UK.

Funded from the Scottish Government, the aim of Thrive Early is to prevent and mitigate the impact of poverty for families with children under five years of age by providing integrated, whole-family support within local communities. The successful postholder will work closely with families to provide practical and emotional support, alongside specialised financial, welfare and holistic advice from a dedicated Citizens Advice Bureau staff member.
