Forth Environment Link (FEL) is a Scottish environmental charity, based in the Forth Valley, leading the way on connecting people and place on actions which make a positive response to the Climate Emergency. Trustee

  • Management Board
  • Unpaid
  • Remote: Forth Valley
  • Closing 7th July 2024

We’re looking to appoint new members to our Board of Trustees, to help develop our long-term plans and oversee their delivery. If you’re passionate about the environment and community climate action, have good independent judgement and are a strong strategic thinker, this could be a great role for you.

If you’ve got experience in any of the following, fantastic – fundraising; equality, diversity and inclusion; research and evaluation; digital leadership; project management; youth engagement; and including lived experience of food or transport poverty are all priority areas for us. If yours is a different background, still come and talk to us too. Everyone brings something unique, and we could well be looking for yours.

We particularly want to add more diversity to our Board in its make-up, knowledge, age and experience. So we’re really keen to meet younger people, candidates from an ethnic minority background and/ or anyone who has taken part in an FEL project or used any of our services. Don’t worry if you don’t have any previous Board experience – we’ll give you the training and support you need to play your part.

Project Officer – Schools

  • Closing 7th July 2024

At FEL Scotland, we’re experts in helping communities live more sustainably – making social and environmental change happen, project by project, so people and our planet can thrive.

We support that change to happen, project by project. Each one we run focuses on the things that matter to those they support across our core themes of Climate, Travel, and Food.

Working as part of the FEL Scotland team, you will work within our school hubs based in Falkirk. This exciting new role will expand FEL’s successful secondary school Active Travel Hub programme. You will work closely with school staff and pupils to develop and deliver a programme of activities with the aim of increasing everyday cycling, walking and wheeling journeys across the school and to support social and environmental change at a community level.
