Dundee Women's Aid has been supporting women, children and young people who are experiencing Domestic Abuse for over 40 years. The development of our service has been influenced by the experiences of the women, children and young people that we have supported. As an organisation we provide a range of services including information, support and temporary refuge accommodation.

Children & Young People’s (CYP) Domestic Abuse Practitioners

Purpose of the Post

  • To provide an age-appropriate, high-quality service to children and young people aged 13-22 who have experienced domestic abuse, with a particular focus on those aged 16 and above.
  • To address the growing need for support among young individuals experiencing domestic abuse in their own relationships, including crisis intervention, advocacy, and life skills development.
  • To meet legal requirements, Dundee Women’s Aid (DWA) standards, and policies while promoting DWA’s work in the local and wider community.
  • To collaborate with young people, families, and external agencies to ensure a comprehensive, person-centred approach to addressing domestic abuse.
  • To support the Senior Children’s Services Domestic Abuse Practitioner, CEO, Depute CEO and colleagues in achieving DWA objectives and identifying areas for improvement.
