About the role:

We seek a part-time (28 hours per week) Learning Coordinator to promote and deliver Lead Scotland’s new Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire Digital Skills for Health and Wellbeing Project. This is a learning service for digitally excluded people, including disabled people, carers and those who experience barriers; The role includes engaging with service providers as part of the project delivery.

Do you have great organisational skills, previous experience of supporting disabled people experiencing a range of barriers, of working one-to-one and in groups with learners, and of designing and delivering learning programmes?

Do you have access to transport as you will be working in homes and communities across Aberdeen City and Shire?

We seek a part-time (21 hours per week) Learning Coordinator to promote and deliver Lead’s Aberdeenshire Employability Project. This is a learning service for disabled people and carers aged 16 to 67 who experience barriers to work and education.

The successful applicant will be committed to:

1) Engaging and supporting disabled people and carers to overcome barriers and embark on personalised learning journeys, making positive, sustained transitions into their chosen progression routes and positive destinations.

2) Being an active part of the Lead Scotland team as we develop new, exciting learning opportunities in Aberdeenshire.

3) Work from your home base for online and hybrid elements of the role and a full driving licence and access to a car is essential to travel to homes and communities across this rural area.

We are looking for a sessional worker to someone to promote and deliver Lead’s Perth and Kinross Tenants Digital Project. This is a digital skills service to support tenants to be able to access information and council services online and use digital media to participate in communities and tenancy related involvement opportunities

• Perth and Kinross Tenants Digital Project – support people who are disabled, unpaid carers and others who are digitally excluded to learn relevant digital skills matching their motivation to learn. The sessional worker will support tenants to build confidence and skills use of support and information services, through confidence building, one to ones, group learning, involvement events, tailored programmes, provision of digital devices and bespoke assistance. The time commitment in hours per week will be agreed by negotiation but is likely to be around 25 to 30 hours per week flexibly worked up to 31st March 2025, agreed mileage will be included.

The work is mostly in person working in a peripatetic way using local community venues and learner’s own homes to deliver learning. Home office for Administration base.

It is regulated work for which a satisfactory PVG will be required.

You will be passionate about the transformative power of digital skills, digital confidence, and adult learning. You will be confident in communicating one-to-one and with groups and have a flexible and creative approach to problem-solving.

You will be enthusiastic with good organisational skills and have previous experience of supporting people experiencing a range of barriers to enhance and improve their basic digital skills and cyber safety. You will be capable of working one-to-one with learners, and of tailoring and delivering learning programmes. The role involves travelling throughout the local authority areas to meet one to one and group learner demand.
