We are seeking to recruit a suitably experienced, qualified and skilled woman to fulfil the role of Specialist Worker within our Refuge team.
The Specialist Worker will provide a high quality and specialist support service to women living in Refuge working to ensure their safety and recovery. Applicants must also be qualified to SVQ level 3, or equivalent in a relevant qualification and registered (or willing to register) with SSSC. What is on offer for the Refuge Support Worker?
We are looking to recruit a MARAC Admin worker (21 hours) to provide a comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to ensure the effective running of the team.
MARAC (Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference) is a regular meeting to discuss how to help victims at high risk of murder or serious harm. The meeting is attended by domestic abuse specialists who discuss the victim, the family, the perpetrator and share information.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in the use of Microsoft IT packages, have excellent organisational skills and the ability to work on their own as well as part of a team. The ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality is essential.
The salary is £24,699 per annum FTE. This is a part time post (21 hours per week) and is based at our East Kilbride office, hybrid working available.
All candidates must demonstrate knowledge/experience of the causes and issues relating to domestic abuse and the ability to advocate Women’s Aid South Lanarkshire and East Renfrewshire’s feminist philosophy and mission which underpins all our work.

The Peer Support Worker will support the delivery team in a range of areas. Saoirse covers South Lanarkshire and is delivered in collaboration between Liber8 Lanarkshire and Woman's Aid South Lanarkshire & East Renfrewshire (WASLER). This is a Fixed Term 2 year post
This service works with women and girls throughout South Lanarkshire who are affected by domestic abuse / violence and alcohol/ substance use – whether they are affected currently, have been in the past, or are at risk. Filling the existing gap in services for this group, this service will help women to keep safe, grow in confidence and feel empowered to re-join their communities as valued, contributing citizens.

We are seeking to recruit a suitably experienced woman to fulfil the role of Maintenance Worker
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the refuge accommodation is maintained to a high standard, is fit for purpose and safe.
The role involves turnaround of void properties, completion of all void health safety, reporting/managing repairs, general admin duties in relation to the accommodation, replenishing of refuge stock, all cleaning duties and minor DIY tasks such as painting, building flat pack furniture and hanging pictures. This is a very busy role and the post holder will have a proactive approach and attention to detail. As all our accommodation are self-contained properties it is essential the post holder has a driving licence and use of a car.
