Down's Syndrome Scotland (DSS) is a parent led charity which was established in 1982.  We are the only charity in Scotland dedicated solely to supporting people with Down's syndrome (Ds) and their carers.  Our aims are that:

  • Children and adults with Ds, their parents and families, receive appropriate and timely information and support through all the ages and stages of their lives.
  • Public and professional attitudes to Ds will be more positive and inclusive.
  • Children and adults with Ds will be provided with choices and support to enable them to develop and reach their full social, physical and intellectual potential.

Lived Experience Advisory Group Facilitator

We’re recruiting a passionate, people centred facilitator to support The Hug Collective—our lived experience advisory group—and make sure real voices drive real change across Scotland.

You’ll create safe, inclusive spaces, amplify underrepresented voices, and connect insights to decision makers—shaping strategy, influencing governance and strengthening lived experience involvement nationwide.

You’ll excel if you:

  • Have strong facilitation and engagement skills
  • Understand co production and lived experience leadership
  • Communicate confidently at all levels
  • Build trust, inclusion and psychologically safe environments
  • Work proactively and independently from home

Travel across Scotland + occasional evenings/weekends (TOIL). PVG required.
