Music in Hospitals & Care is a UK registered charity, established in England in 1948, whose purpose is to enhance the lives of people of all ages in hospitals, care homes, hospices, day care centres and special schools, through the provision of high quality live music performed by carefully selected professional musicians. A Scottish office was opened in 1980, and currently around 1600 concerts annually are arranged and funded north of the border.
