Administrator and Communications Worker - Glasgow

This role will involve carrying out a range of administrative tasks for our UpStream youth counselling team in Glasgow. Tasks include responding to enquiries from members of the public and participants, managing appointments and referrals, supporting the team with publicity and communications, and helping gather and organise data for monitoring and evaluation.

We are looking for candidates with experience in administration who are organised and confident using systems and technology. The role requires someone who communicates warmly and confidently with people from a wide range of backgrounds, helping to create a welcoming and supportive first point of contact for the service. The role will also involve providing flexible administrative support and occasionally assisting with project activities.

Anne Hope House is a therapeutic centre for women with multiple complex needs. Our holistic programs support them in their efforts to reintegrate into longer term accommodation and community.

This post is restricted to female applicants in order to reduce barriers of access for the all-female residents.

We are looking for a Project Worker, who will work as part of a team seeking to meet the practical, emotional and spiritual needs of women with multiple complex needs. As part of a team you will ensure the smooth daily running of the therapeutic centre and help to create a safe supportive caring and empowering environment for service users.

Your main tasks include leading group work and supporting residents on a one to one basis. You will also provide appropriate emotional and practical support to service users assisting in budgeting, debt management, addiction support, household routines, arranging specific specialist help and liaising with other external agencies.

Experience of working with vulnerable and homeless people, experience of working within a team and the ability to deal appropriately with challenging behaviour are essential for the role.

SVQ3 in Social Care, Promoting Independence or equivalent as listed by SSSC as appropriate for a Housing Support Worker, or willingness to work towards this is essential.
