The Promise Scotland is responsible for driving the work of change demanded by the findings of the Independent Care Review. It works with all kinds of organisations to support shifts in policy, practice and culture so Scotland can #KeepThePromise it made to care experienced infants, children, young people, adults and their families - that every child grows up loved, safe and respected, able to realise their full potential.

The Oversight Board for the promise is looking for new members. The Board reports to the care community and Parliament on Scotland’s progress to keep the promise. You might be an academic, involved in scrutiny and inspection or connected to an umbrella body. You will be joining a group over half of whom have lived experience of Scotland’s ‘care system’. The Board particularly welcomes application from people from diverse backgrounds: your voice needs to be heard.

The Promise Scotland provide secretariat to The Oversight Board.
